Third person's POV

After being handcuffed, the Spy Squad plus Ken were taken towards the CIA's vehicle.

Ken was the only one who wasn't handcuffed....since he was carrying Barbie's unconscious body in his arms....he wasn't letting anyone else touch her.

One of the agents suggested to handcuff Barbie anyhow, in case she was merely pretending to be drugged to get everyone to drop their guard.

Barbie didn't seem to be pretending. She was snoring softly....whispering something. Ken couldn't quite understand what she was dreaming about.

But from her face expression he could say that it wasn't a pleasant dream at all.

"Please....don't hurt him.....leave him alone!" the blonde girl murmured drowsily.

Ken sighed....holding his best girl more tightly.
Everything will be just fine. I promise.

"Get in!" one of them ordered roughly. And they were pushed inside the van.

"I'm so sorry. This is all my fault," Patricia squeezed her eyes shut, trying to control her emotions.

Renee gave her a sympathetic look.
"It's not your fault....we can figure this out."

Needless to say that Stella and her sister were frustrated and furious.
Stella scoffed and rolled her eyes.

"Renee....I love your positivity....but in case you don't understand.....we are literally arrested for a crime we didn't commit and we have no way of proving it," Stella said sarcastically, "So please tell me....how on earth are we going to figure this out?"

Cassandra was trying her best to mask her emotions.
She stared blankly at the ground with her usual stoic face expression.

She glanced at her cousin who was still unconscious.
Despite the fact that she only knew Barbie for a couple months....it felt as if they knew each other for years.

She never had friends before this. And now not only they were a team...they were also a family.

Cassandra sighed and lifted her gaze to others.

"Guys....we don't have time to blame ourselves for something that had happened in the past," Cassandra said loud and clear, "And we also don't have the time to lose hope. The peace of the whole world depends on us. We need to trust our instincts to figure out what the culprits are planning."

Patricia took a deep breath to calm her nerves and then she nodded determinedly.
At this point, what do I even have to lose? If I'm going to be put behind the bars, let's try and fight back until the end.

Renee and Teresa glanced at each other.
Both were pretty unsure....but they knew they had try.

"You're right," Sarah replied, "A couple months ago we were literally risking our lives to find the Roberts singularity....and trying to survive that choas. So we can't stop here. There must be some pieces of the puzzles we're missing."

The team considered this. They all agreed that this was way more than what they all thought.
But they couldn't quite put their fingers on it.

That was until they heard a sound of groaning in pain.
Ken looked down at the unconscious girl in his arms.
Her eyelids fluttered slightly.

"Barbie?" Ken called, "Can you hear me?"

The blonde girl slowly opened her eyes but then she squeezed her eyes shut at the headache she was having.
She grunted again.

"Oh god! Thank goodness you're okay!" Cassandra sighed.

She struggled to sit up and take in her surroundings.
She immediately blushed fifty shades of red once she realized that she was Ken's arms.
