the night was silent
after making my way to the tent, i could find a glimpse of him on his cot, alone. he was sitting there in silence, staring at a piece of polaroid- though, i couldn't figure out what the picture was as it was blurry from my vision due to our distance
i cleared my throat to gain his attention, slowly taking my steps near him as he quickly shoved the picture into his pocket. i sighed softly, standing not far from his back as he spoke
"why are you here?"
"just thought you might need a company" i replied, taking a step and seated myself beside him on his cot. he sighed, shaking his head
"well, i don't need any" i raised a brow, narrowing my eyes at him with a doubtful gaze
"really? okay, then" with that, i stood up, turning to leave but a grip on the hem of my sleeve stopped me from doing so
i suppressed my smirk in, looking at him as he avoided my gaze
"stay"
"sure" i nodded, sighing softly as i seated myself back to the spot earlier. i glanced at his fingers that was still gripping on the fabric, not showing any signs to let go of it anytime soon. i let it be, looking at my laps as i spoke
"he's just a friend" a short silence came after
"i didn't ask"
"i'm not stupid, su-cheol. i can literally read you like an open book"
"fine" he quickly said, looking at me as i did the same. our eyes locked, not daring to break it as he continued
"i was jealous" i stayed silent, not bothering to interrupt or say anything. he looked at me, expecting me to laugh or blurt out anything but instead, i softly chuckled
"why are you jealous?"
he scoffed
"why? because you treat him better than me"
