RETURN TO ME

Too close a call.

When I woke up, and the house was silent, I got worried because there was always activity.

So I decided  to go downstairs and found Yu Bin sitting on the couch reading a book.

"Hey, did you guys find out anymore information? Sorry I couldn't keep up."

"Hey, sleepy head, yes we did, but Mr Wang will come and fill you in on everything."

"Where is Yibo anyway?"

"He went to the hospital with Zangjin."

I felt a bit unsettled, I really hope they did not hurt him. Why is he at the hospital?

"Please tell me you did not hurt him, I told Yibo not to break the law for any reason. Please!"

"That's probably the only reason why Zangjin is alive and well because Yibo listened to your instructions because all 3 of us wanted to kill him. We still do and might actually kill him if he does anything stupid again."

"Stop sounding like an untamed animal and tell me why he is at the hospital?"

"Mr Wang, went to verify something with him and Carman. Like I said, he will tell you everything when he comes back."

"Oh my word, did you suddenly sign a vow of silence with Yibo now. I thought we were friends. When did you become so serious?"

"I am your friend, but I don't make it a habit to come between lovers. He wants to be the one to tell you what happened. So I will let him do that, but I will be right here listening to make sure that he tells you everything."

"Why do I feel like you 2 had a fight? What happened?"

"Let's just say I don't always like the way Mr. Wang does things sometimes."

Before we could continue talking, Yibo walked in with Carman and Zangjin. The 2 greeted and quickly left.

"So what's going on, and what got those two so spooked?"

When Yibo was telling me what all happened and why Carman and Zangjin did what they did, I couldn't help but feel sorry for them. I didn't even realize I was holding on to my babies the whole time.

Does resolving to crime ever solve anything? I feel like it makes things worse.

"So, did you go to the hospital to see their son? How is he?"

"Yes, I did. His condition is terminal. He is sick because those 2 are half siblings and had him together. That's also the reason they are not allowed to marry each other. It seems they did not know they were half siblings until after they got together. Carman was already pregnant when they found out."

"What, my goodness, so they are still continuing with the relationship. So he is not gonna recover?"

"No, he is not, I really don't want to get involved with that, and I don't even know why they felt the need to tell me. I am not interested in their personal drama. All I wanted to do was confirm if what they said was true or not."

"Yibo, a person is a whole being and makes decisions from the whole person, not parts of it, so maybe their continued suffering made them not think rationally."

"Why does them suffering make it ok for them to make us suffer, does that make sense to you? How can you even make things so simple?"

"They are not simple. All I am saying is put yourself in other people's shoes before you act."

"Not when it comes to you and your safety. I am also going to tell you that I have practiced all the self-control I could master today. The next person who crosses me is going to receive the real me in full!"
