Usually, the saying goes like this:

Curiosity killed the cat

Something of warning to fools whose noses they shouldn't place in another's business. This meant that being nosy would lead to one's downfall.

But that saying has more to it.

Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back.

Curiosity does have its ups and downs, but it has always been a good factor in knowledge. Like how children learn by asking tons of questions, which we find answers to, or they would grasp the answer themselves.

So having curiosity is a good thing as it is how the brightest people on earth leave their marks as they haven't stopped questioning why certain things happen. You can be great if you have this mindset of never stopping finding questions things, as knowledge is power.
