Amanto Clan Files: Mi Teigi

The Mi Teigi clan.

[Mi Teigi means Undefind or Unspecified in Japanese.]

Is a powerful Amanto clan known for there incredible adaptability and their complete control of their body's and biology. Because of this ability however most of them are hunted to become slaves or mercenaries.

It's very hard to determine if your facing a Mi Teigi in battle. They only physical trait that they all share and refuse to change is there "X" shapped pupils.

The Shinsengumi hired "Oleander" a known member of this clan that is currently working at "Odd Jobs" and is also the founder of the highly popular "Fasion for Fun" clothing store and known designer of multiple clothing brand under the name "Natures Treasure". to go into detail about there society and rules. Here is the interview.

Toshi: "Oleander... thank you for siting down with us to explain your culture."

Oleander: "No problem... this will get rid of my record correct?"

Toshi: "... Please go into detail about your culture and abilities."

Oleander: "You- Ugh fine. I guess I can start with the philosophy around our special eye's. As most people know my clan can change there body's to be anything they want. This includes our eye's. Yet we don't change them. The reason is mostly because we take the saying "The eye is the window of the soul" very seriously and literally. We take pride in our eye's more then our adaptability. To change your eyes would be effectively throwing away your adaptability. We are only allowed to ever change out eye's once we have found out who we want to be. Some never change there eyes."

Toshi: "And you haven't changed yours? You seem very comfortable in your body."

Oleander: "Hah... fair. The body of a woman has many pros. One its good looking and attractive. Two it's easier to get what I want. And three it's more flexible which helps with my fighting style... but as much as I keep this form as my main look there is a small possibility that I change it. In fact I'm constantly changing my body. However that's more internally and microscopic."

Toshi: "I hear that your a very rare example of your people because you continue to research. You seem to be the Wildcard and Medic for your group. Why do you continue to study and why do your people study in general."

Oleander: "Well to change into something your not you need to understand it. Most of my people only have one form that they use. Me? I'm probably one of the very few people that can take on the title of elder. I originally came to earth to study and observe other amantos and the native creatures such as humans. In fact I have my own private library in my office. Most of my kind are smart. But it's up to the individual to take it to the next level. Plus learning is fun while also making me a bit stronger."

Toshi: "Okay, let's talk about your fighting style. Captain Okitah is a close friend of yours and you have spared with him from time to time. He says your a God with a spear and poisons. Earlier you said that one of the reasons you use the female body because of its flexibility. Is it common for your people to use a spear?"

Oleander: "No. Most of my people aren't fighters. We're mostly driven by desires. But I'm again an outlier in this instant. The reason I fight goes back to me expanding my knowledge. I found spears to be cool so I wanted to use it as my main weapon. They have a better range then swords but require alot more coordination and finesse. I also lace my spear in different poisons I make within my body. Usually not leathal but does cause paralysis. One thing I can also tell you is that I make organic plant matter for fighting. Like vines and thorns. I have already mastered botany and everything you need to know about plants and how they work so I can create them and use them on a whim. I will say one thing my whole race shares when they do fight is there recklessness."

Toshi: "Why is that?"

Oleander: "Well we can regenerate from most if not all wounds. A severed limb can be replaced if you know what cells go into everything. Although this takes a mass amount of energy. Just growing back a finger will make us need to eat a meal or sleep for 30 minutes. Regrowing a limb is very energy heavy. And in the middle of combat being sluggish could kill anyone. So most of the time when we lose a limb we wait till after the battle to regrow it. That way the negative consequences can be dealt with safely. Of course bleeding constantly will cause death so we will usually heat up or blood to cauterize the wound to stop the bleeding."

Toshi: "Have you ever done this?"

Oleander: "Twice, yes. Although this is way before Odd Jobs. Im sure you already know this but my people are very sought after for slave labor and mercenaries. This is because of our adaptability. The first time was when I was young where I severed my own hand to use it as a "bomb"... I basically produced a high quantity of poisons gas in my hand that when lit will on fire will eat away at skin casting necrosis and eventually death. I used this to get away from space pirates. The second time was my whole left arm. It was already damaged so I turned my arm into a makeshift weapon... it's actually the base of my current spear. Of course the first time I was down and out for a day... the second time was about 1 & 1/2 weeks."

Toshi: "Your people are often used as slaves and mercenaries you said? But with you clans adaptability it would be easy to escape."

Oleander: "That's more of a problem of most of our people staying in one form. Again I'm an outlier that continued to learn. Most of us are again based solely on desire. So they learn what the need to make that desire reachable and then stop learning. And those who are smart and captured are usually mentally tortured so they could be easier to control. If you still resist then your basically used as a lab rat or research. Or you escape. Although that's very difficult and usually doesn't happen."

Toshi: "Lab rats?"

Oleander: "Most beings dream of being able to adapt to everything. So people try and take our power. However it never and will never work.

Toshi: "And why is that?"

Oleander: "Simple answer... there not us. Long answer, my people cells and body's are unstable and versatile to change by our own will. Most underestimate how there own body's work most of the time. Think of our cells when entering like a virus. The body will try everything to get rid of this foreign problem by using the immune system. Sadly because of our nature our cells become what ever they want by our own instincts and wills. When removed from they body they start to expand and mutate at a rapid rate causing alot of different side effects eventually ending in death. Basically only we can control our cells because we evolved that way. You would need to be one of our own to use our abilities."

Toshi: "Is there any way to defeat your kind?"

Oleander: "Yes but it's very difficult. We all have a "core" however it's usually shifted around or shrunk somewhere in our body's. It's different for everyone. And no I won't tell you mine. Mainly because I don't have one."

Toshi: "But you just said-"

Oleander: "That I'm an outlier~ plus if I did have one and you did destroy it then this planet would be covered in a poisons cloud that will kill you all."

Toshi: "WHa-"

Oleander: "Okay I'm leaving!"

Toshi: "WAIT YOU ASSHOLE!"

We ultimately did learn quite a bit from Oleander... but most of it was already known... and the things we did learn were more about Oleander and there differences in there own clan... more data is needed.
