"the bad poetry"

"we drove along a winding road,
our love affair began to grow,
the engine hummed, the pace was quick,
our passion rose with every click.

every moment, every polaroid we took,
stayed in our memories, like an open book,
and i'm very sorry for painting it blue,
and i'm really sorry for not telling the truth.

but then disaster struck us hard,
our car went off the boulevard,
it crashed and burned, a fiery end,
our love destroyed, we couldn't mend

it's my fault, the architect of our download,
a reckless driver, lost in the ruins' spawl.
the debris of broken bonds, shattered dreams,
a haunting reminder of my destructive extremes

you made it out, but i was lost,
the driver's seat was what it cost,
i couldn't save us, now i see,
my love, it died, along with me."
