Yeah.

It wasn't time to die yet.

Her body made sure of it.

She woke up to someone caressing her hair as she shifted, hissing upon the sudden intrusion of light through her closed eyelids. Her ears opened up to soft humming after a few minutes of ringing.

Soft, and yet recognizable humming.

One of her eyes fluttered open, her hunch was correct.

Hoseok raked his fingers through her hair, a gentle but clear song droned through his lips. "I know you're awake, Princess," her title rang through her ears as his lips curled upwards. "Hm, at least I'm not dead," she said as she sat, "Wait, I'm not dead."

"That's a surprise?" He chuckled, shaking his head, "You've been out of it for a few days and that's the first thing that escapes your mouth." "A-A few days?" She gaped, "What the hell?" She got up to her feet, "Brief me in as we walk."

"Are you sure you want to make yourself known while you're still dressed like that?" Hoseok pointed to her rags. "Oh...damn," she looked at herself, "Yeah, brief me in after I take a bath, I smell like I'm dead."

A short bath later and she had run out of tomboy clothes to wear, so she forced herself to wear a hanbok until she went shopping. She wore flats since her boots were destroyed apparently, according to Hoseok. She turned around to see a red silk shirt hanging up, neatly pressed so that no wrinkles would show, black velvet trousers and black leather boots.

There was a note attached to it, her guess was Hoseok.

Wow, she will never get tired of saying his real name.

She had only pulled back her hair when she had noticed a change. The ends of her hair were red, must have stayed from the transformation last night. "Your hair looks amazing, please don't pull it up," Hoseok peeked in, his mop of salt and pepper hair almost blocking his eyes.

"Okay, now. What the hell happened after Seokjin decided to ruin everything?" She asked as they made their way towards the throne room. "Well, there was a lot of fighting, as you know," he started, "Apparently, you transformed into a demon, or what the cuff tells me. Then you beat the absolute shit out of him. Then well, on Yoongi's account, Namjoon found the two of us bleeding to death and he dragged the two of us back to the castle."

"Namjoon? Oh, right, the spell must have worn off when Seokjin was killed," she realised, "And he must have woken up a short time after I knocked him out."

"So he had said and he had found out about the real cause of his mother's death, something he wasn't really happy about but he took it like a man nonetheless. Now he's somewhere taking some time off to think things over, but I'm sure he'll be back soon to give an apology," Hoseok shrugged, "Luckily for us, the Other Kingdoms are safe and sound because of Yoongi. Sure they have their own abilities, but there were a shit ton of demons that were summoned to do his bidding. Continuing, your step mother is okay, I think. Everyone is okay, well, except the King and Queen and Epiphany. Yeah things didn't go so well between your dad and them. I don't think I want to say what happens next."

"I don't think I want to know," she shuddered, "That's all." "Yeah," he nodded, "Oh, right. Your gift." "So, it wasn't just this?" She pointed to her outfit. "Nope, turn around," he ordered. Confused, she did as he asked and soon her back faced his chest.

He pulled out a ruby necklace and gently placed it around her neck, then clasped it. "There, much better. Now, you might be surprised about the appearance of the throne room," he motioned to the hall opened out in front of them. She walked out first, gasping when she saw that the decorations from last night were still up, lavish as ever.
