Chapter Four

Engfa and her Team were lead to their meeting room where they found many crime agents and ministers waiting for them.
"What is happening. Why weren't you guys able to find any proof?" A man asked.
"Sir, we tried our best but there was nothing we could do. The killer is really smart " engfa said in the most respective way possible.

"You guys are the main agents of this country. How can you say that. What are we supposed to tell to the common people who are outside the building ?" Another man said loosing his patience.
Engfa was about to open her mouth and say something when she saw her boss, Nawaat signaling her to keep quite.
She reluctantly agreed and stayed quiet.
The meeting was filled with only the ministers questioning engfa and her team members qualification.
Not a minister presented there left a chance of embarrassing engfa's team and company and all they could do was sit there and listen to all the bullshits.
After many hours of blaming and hating eachother the meeting finally finished and all of them went out.
As soon as the last minister left, One of Engfa's team member fell on the floor and started crying.
"How can they say that to us ?" Nudee busted.
"And why didn't you let us speak anything on our defence ?" Engfa questioned Nawat.
"It's because they are very powerful. If you come in their bad side you will be destroyed and no one will ever hear from you." Nawat tried to explain.

Engfa stormed out of the room and went  inside her office and slammed the door.
She sat at her chair.
"Whoever the fuck they are, I will soon have them behind the bars" engfa thought to herself.
The post mortem report came just in time and it was said that they found a letter inside the man's body.
Engfa took the letter carefully to her boss's room and called everyone.
An address was written in the letter and everyone left for it.
They went on a van.
Nawat was driving it, engfa was on the passenger's seat and other three were on the backseat.
Soon they reached the address and came at an old broken house.
The house was in a very shape.
"I won't be surprised if a ghost walks out of this house" Nudee says.

Prepare yourselves Nawat says and everyone gets their gun armed.
Soon engfa burst opened the door and no one was ready for what they saw inside.
They found another body in there.
It was a girl. Her hands and legs were tied to the wall and just like the previous man her face was unharmed but every part of her body was in a very bad condition.
Everyone froze to their place for some minutes. Then Engfa gathered her courage somehow and went ahead to check closely.
As She came closer she spotted many 'X' and 'O' marks on the body.
"This bastard is playing games in the body of the victims." Engfa shouted.

Nudee called the ambulance and police officers. The body was taken for post mortem.
Engfa and her team scanned the whole room could clearly tell that the victim was tortured even more than the first one.
There were dragged marks and many weapons such as knives, hammers, and even two pens by which the killer played the xo game in the body.
They collected everything they could find and took it back to their lab for research.
Engfa stayed at the lab while all her teammates were literally having a panic attack. They were shook to their core by the way the bodies were found.

"What are you thinking ?" Nawat asked Engfa who was deep into the thoughts.
"The killer wrote the address and hide it in the body which means when they were killing the man, they had already killed or captured the girl. Which means they could be killing someone right now as well." Engfa said in terror.
"We can't let that moster roam freely" Nudee says entering the lab.
Engfa agreed and went to the announcement room and ordered every agent to come at the hall.
Every agent in the building arrived at the hall looking confused as to why everyone was called.
Engfa and her team with their boss entered the hall and Engfa told them about the killer, the bodies and the letter. The room was filled with silence for some minute.
"We can't let that asshole, kill anyone " Nudee broke the silence with tears in her eyes.
Everyone in the hall agreed with her and soon every agent were assigned to surround the whole town and search the killer.
It was already night time but yet no one complained as they might save someone from their miserable fate.
Engfa and Nudee were patrolling near the woods when engfa spotted Charlotte's home and decided to enter it.
The house was unlocked so they thought Charlotte was still inside but they were wrong.
Charlotte was nowhere to be seen.
They searched the entire home and didn't find Charlotte anywhere.

"I don't want to freak out but is Charlotte the next victim" Nudee spoke in terror.
Engfa's heart also started beating faster.
Before engfa could make the call reporting Charlotte's missing, there was some sound coming from the outside.
"Oh fuck !!" Nudee jumped out of horror.
But while listening clearly it sounded like someone calling for help.
Engfa ran outside followed by Nudee behind her.
They went at the garden area at the backside of the house and found Charlotte laying on the ground.
Blood was uncontrollably coming out of her head.
There were also many bruises in her hands and legs but luckily she was breathing.
"Fuck, I was right" Nudee shouted.
Engfa checked Charlotte's pulse and found out she was still alive and without wasting anymore time, Engfa took Charlotte to the hospital.
Charlotte was admitted in the emergency room. Nudee and Engfa were in the waiting zone.
"Why would they hurt her. She is literally the most sweetest person in the town" Nudee said.
Engfa clenched the handles of the chair she was sitting so hard that it was bended.
"If only we went there early, none of this wouldn't happened " engfa said .
Nudee knew that engfa was trying to again blame herself and stopped her.
"It's not your fault. It was never your fault." Nudee kept saying these words while hugging engfa who was now trembling.

Many hours later the doctors came and told them that Charlotte was out of danger now.
"Can we meet her, doctor ?" Nudee asked.
"Yes! You may but this seems like your friend was targeted by this new killer in the town. You guys should be thankful that you took her here on time.
I don't know why the Crime investigating company still hasn't been able to find any clues about the killer maybe because they are just lazily sitting in their offices and making excuses about the killer not leaving any evidences " the doctor mumbled.
Engfa have had enough and she exploded.
"If that's what you think then why don't you go and join the company and find the killer yourself rather than framing us " engfa shouted pinning him against the wall.
Nudee separated engfa from the doctor and took her inside.
Charlotte was already in her senses by that time.
Engfa ran towards Charlotte and her eyes were filled with anger.
"Who did this to you?" She demanded the answer.
"I-I-I don't know. He was very big and strong. I couldn't even push him away from me. I couldn't see his face as it was filled with beard." Charlotte explained.
"Why did he try to harm you?" Nudee asked.
"I don't know" Charlotte said weakly and suddenly her heart was beating in a strange manner. She was breathing heavily.
The doctors came inside and told Engfa and Nudee to stay outside.
"So, the killer is a man" Nudee exclaimed.

Minutes after the doctors came out and told them that Charlotte's mental health was very disturbed and asked them to not remind her of the previous night.
They both nodded and thanked the doctor.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have spoken anything without knowing the whole thing. You guys are doing a really brave job than us" the doctor said and apologised.
