Into the UNKNOWN

Chapter Seven.

"We have to go to the office, today" Nudee said looking at her phone.
Engfa nodded and turned to Charlotte.
"We won't be back until evening, is it alright ?" Engfa asked Charlotte.
"You can take your time" Charlotte said smiling warmly at her.
Both Nudee and Engfa got up and went outside.
They greeted Charlotte to have a good day and went out.
"Why are you taking so, much care of her?" Nudee asked engfa while getting on the bike.
"I don't know myself either. But I only know that I have to keep her safe" Engfa said putting on her helmet.
Both of them then went to their office.
Meena and Cherine were already there.
They all gathered and went to their boss's office.
"The ministers are dancing on my head.
The citizens are terrified and everyone is questioning us" Nawat said putting his hand on his head.
"Yeah! We know about that boss" Nudee said.
"Yeah, you seem stressed, what are you thinking about?" Engfa asked.

"Well! You'll know about that in some minutes" Nawat said taking a long breath.
Everyone was confused and looked at eachother.
Suddenly the door bursted open and all the ministers were coming again.

"What is this about ?" Engfa asked one more time. Nawat said nothing and kept looking at the floor to avoid eye contact.
After everyone was seated,
The head minister stood up and called Engfa and Nawat to come infront.
Engfa could definitely tell, something was up.

When they arrived infront of everybody, the Head minister started to speak again, " The city is facing a very scary situation right now. Everyone is scared for their lives and in this dangerous situation I sadly have to tell all of you that, I will remove Nawat from his post and transfer him to another city.
From now on, the head of the office will be Engfa Waraha, one of our best agent.
Everyone please stand up to pay respect to her" he said.
As soon as those words left his mouth, Engfa looked at Nudee and then at Nawat.
"Why ?" Engfa mouthed.
"I have to be somewhere else, from now on you'll be on your own. Please save the city" Nawat said patting Engfa's shoulders.
Engfa became the Head, whereas Nudee, Meena and Cherine became the sub-heads of the Security department of the city. After the meeting ended, and everyone left, "You knew it, didn't you?" Nudee asked her boss.
"I knew, but she is more capable than me. I have faith in you guys and besides it's not like I won't come back at all.
Please succeed me all of you, OK?" Nawat said looking at everyone.
Engfa wad on the verge of crying.
Nudee was already Crying and so were Meena and Cherine.
Everyone gave a last final hug to him and watched him as he exited the room.
Nawat went to his office for the last time, and looked around and came outside smiling thinking about all the things from the past.
As he was about to go out of the main door, he heard clapping noises.
He turned back and saw that everyone in the office was there and was clapping for him.
Engfa, Nudee, Meena and Cherine were in the front and everyone were beside them.
Nawat saw the future of the security department in those four faces.
He thanked everyone and went out.
"Everything is going to be fine, now" he said to himself as he looked at the building for one last time.

3 hours later*
Everyone was still in shock, especially Engfa. Nawat was the one who took Engfa into this department. Taking his place should be an honour to her, but she felt nothing but sadness.
Suddenly everyone's phone lit up.
Engfa looked at Nudee before she went for her phone.
There was again an address written in it. It was the same address of the big house, they went but didn't find anything.
Everyone rushed out and to their bikes.
They hurriedly started the bike, and rushed to the house.
They reached the house in no time, and were already outside the door.
"I'm scared" Nudee said before Engfa opened the door.
Everyone knew what they would see inside so, everyone was mentally preparing themselves for the worst.
As soon as Engfa opened the door, they saw another body.
It was not as bad as the first two but still was in a very bad condition.
It was a man.
He had burnt marks all around his hands. They were from candles that were melted into his skin.
Cherine ended throwing up.
Nudee called the police.
Engfa and Meena collected the evidences even though they knew it was of no help.
Soon the police arrive and took him away for post mortem.
"Are we going to watch the whole town, die one by one?" Nudee asked sadly at Engfa.
The man could easily be recognised as he was a well-known architect in the town.
"We will not find anything here, but we shall try our luck in the victim's house" Engfa said.
"So, we're going to the victims house to find something that will connect them and the killer ?" Meena asked Engfa.
Engfa nodded.
Engfa went to the architect's house. Nudee went to the unknown women's house. Meena and Cherine went into the first victim's house.
Everyone split up and arrived attheir destination.
Engfa went inside the house by using her master key that made  it possible for her to unlock any kind of locks.
She looked around and finally found his study. She checked around and found something inside his desk.
It was an old photo of him and his classmates in his school years.
It was a class photo.
Engfa recognised the two other victims as well. They were all in the same class.
Their faces were the same as before.
Engfa thought that could lead them somewhere.
Engfa called everyone and told them to bring the victim's photo albums and to specifically find their school's group photo.
Everyone did find the photo and went back into the office.

They all put the photos in the table and saw that each one of them had the same very picture.
"They all were classmates," Nudee said surprised.
"Exactly, the killer seems to only kill the students of this batch" Engfa said.
"But, why?" Meena asked.
"That's what we should find" engfa said again.
After looking more into the photos, they found out that the victims were very close. The group photo was very old and damaged so, not all faces were recognisable. So, they decided to go to the school to investigate about it.
There they found out that the victims were huge bullies back in those time and how they would treat others.
They were expelled from the school because they made their female classmate to end up in the hospital who later moved out of the city.
"Is she the one killing them, for revenge?" Meena asked.
"The voice was of a man. Maybe he was one of their victims who got bullied and now is seeking revenge on them" Engfa said.
They asked the school, if they were still in contact with any of the students but sadly, no one was in contact of the school. But the very sad part was that due to the school's under awareness they didn't knew many of the students name and address.
But there was one teacher, who had teached the batch and he luckily knew the poor girls name.
Engfa was shocked to hear the name.
The girl was no one but Charlotte Austin.
Charlotte was the one who got bullied and ended up in the hospital and later moved out of the city
"No, no, not Charlotte. She can't be the one doing it" Nudee said.

"Please, please !! Charlotte, you can't be the one I'm looking for" engfa silently whispered to herself.
