Baby Powder: Jenevieve ♥ ✌ Goes well with this chapter!
6 hours later:
Slept through the entire plane ride.
Exiting the plane took longer than I ever thought it could take. Stuck behind a traffic jam of sweet elderly women celebrating their 60th friendship anniversary.
A trip I came to learn happens every couple of years, after over hearing the women talking about the last trip they took last year. while the line to leave drags.
"So where are you ladies heading off to?" I found myself bored from waiting for the line to move an inch while waiting to get out of the plane, that when I saw the back of her shirt say '60 years strong and still stronger then your pickup game.' Written daintily in pink puffy paint and pink glitter sequence all over it . I found my interest peaked.
She turns around and adjust her big coke bottle glasses to get a better look at me. The lady has the typical grandma look; curly short gray hair with bright pink lipstick on and matching pink eyeshadow. Sun hat with a flamingo, graces her head to complete the look.
"Sheryl's up this time for our group bucket list, apparently Boston and pub crawls during the fall sounded fun, thirty years ago when we made the list." Shrugging her shoulders "Better late than never."
Finally off the plane. The little ladies, waddle their way towards the other end of the baggage claim. All piled together, waiting for the conveyor belt to bring around everyone's luggage.
Me on the other hand, I decide to wait for it to make its way towards the end. Need a second to breathe. Eyes trained on the belt, still, I wait. don't have to wait long before I see my brightly purple and neon green tie dye suitcase. Leaning forward, I grab the case full of my only belongings and place it on the floor, frowning down at it.
With a huff and a roll of my shoulders, I start padding my feet towards the entrance, the sunlight and away from the bright lights overhead that hurt my eyes.
Sending a quick text to Ruby , letting her know of my arrival, I wait for what seems like hours with no response.
Deciding to give it a bit more time, I make my way towards a bench. Sitting down, my body molds into the confines of the chair, My legs ache from the lack of hours being able to stretch, enjoy this.
...
Half an our later of sitting and waiting: Still no answer. Chuckling too myself out loud before finding myself, ordering a Taxi to the location, Ruby gave me, a few days ago so I could ship some of my items over before hand.
Can't be upset with her for not showing up, the girl is a work horse and has so much going on, she must of spaced it.
Not minding the quiet time to myself, to mull over how I would greet my best friend and vowed her a long overdue apology.
