1. Chapter 0.1 - Flock o' bots :

*Dak-cho (닥쳐 ) - Shut up

* Minchinom (미친 놈) - crazy bastard

*Imo (이모)an informal term used for one's maternal aunt or a woman resembling one.

* Seonsaengnim (선생님) - a polite term for teacher

* M.I.L.K (밀크) or Made In Lovely Kin - A South Korean girl pop group formed by a sister label of SM Entertainment (one of South Korea's biggest entertainment companies) in 2001.

* Aratttago (아라타고) (a-rut-ttuh-gu) - understood

* Samgyeopsal (삼겹살) - grilled pork belly


2. Chapter 0.2 - Turning Over A Nettle Leaf 


*Aish (아씨) - a way of expressing frustration or slight anger at someone or a situation. This is a simplified version of cussing words.

*Aigoo (아이고) a way of expressing shock, or surprise.

*Jeongmal (정말) - here means really.

* Daebak (대박) - a term for 'That's awesome!'

* Chincha michigettha (진짜 미치겠다) - a term for 'This is really crazy.'

* Omma (엄마) - Informal term for mother, like mom.

*Unnie (언니) - term used by girls/women to call their sister or an older woman


1. Chapter 1.1 - A Detective's Guide To Dealing With A Phantom :

*Goryeo (고려) / Goryeo Dynasty - One of the Korean dynasties which existed from 918 to 1392.

* Maebyeong (매병) Vase - A Korean vessel with a small curled mouth rim, short neck, round shoulder, and constricted waist.

* Celadon - A grey-green used on pottery (even on the vase above), originated from China. It was one of the cultural trends in the Goryeo dynasty.

* Seonbae (선배) - A term used to refer to senior colleagues or mentors.

* Busan (부산시) - A port city located in the southeastern region of South Korea

* Soju (소주 ) - A clear and colorless distilled alcoholic beverage popular in South Korea.

2. Chapter 1.2 - Method Acting:

*Ttukbaegi (뚝배기) - A black-brown earthenware used to cook various boiled dishes.

* Budae-jiggae (부대찌개) or Army Base soup - A type of Korean stew (jiggae). The dish was created shortly after the Korean War (1950 - 53) using surplus processed and canned foods left in the United States Army bases stationed in the country.

3. Chapter 2.1 - The Chaebol Heir's Biggest Dilemma:

*Chaebol (재벌) - A large family-owned business conglomerate.

* Appa (아빠) - Informal term for father, like dad.

*TXT or Tomorrow X Together (투모로우바이투게더) - A popular South Korean boy band formed by Bit Hit Entertainment (now Big Hit Music, and yes, known for the sensational boy band BTS) in early 2019.

* Omma (엄마) - Informal term for mother, like mom.

* Harabeoji (할아버지) - A common term for grandfather.

*Abeonim (아버님) - A very formal term for father.

*Depyunim (대표님 ) - Formal term for the President or CEO of a company.

*Ajummoni (아주머니) - Formal term for ma'am or aunt, like madam.

*Oraenmaniya (오랜만이야) - Long time no see / It's been long (since we last met). Used informally to close friends and family.

4. Chapter 2.2 - Error 410:

*Gimbap (김밥) - A Korean dish made from cooked rice, vegetables, fish, and meat rolled in gim—dried sheets of seaweed—and served in bite-sized slices

*Hyochang Park (효창공원) - A park in Yongsan, Seoul, South Korea (Yongsan is the prime setting of this story). It was previously a burial site for the royal family as well as few of the freedom fighters.

*Sajangnim (사장님) - formal term for boss

*Hyung (형) - term used by boys/men to call their older brother

* Sesange (세상에) - term for Oh My God! or more accurately, Good Heavens!
