Oliver still held on to Amira's hands, the tears in his eyes blurred his sight, but he simply couldn't make peace with the situation at hand. He could accept that after losing her, he was so close to having her again, just to lose her once more.

The thought of loosing her again, that she would be so far away, yet so close was enough to make him lose his mind. His heart beats for her, his soul burned for her, he needed her.

Their moment was interrupted by he news of Ra'as al-Ghul calling Amira, Sara and the prisoners to come see him. Amira put that emotionless face back on, reminding them not to mess up.

In the room, she went to greet Ra'as al-Ghul who stared at the prisoners. "Al-Jalaad, what should we do with them?" he asked for her input, which was definitely new, but convenient.

"These fools have only been led to Nanda Parbat, being blinded by hope and love, their weakness is not their fault. We should let them go. As for Malcom Merlyn, he has already broken our honor code, and for that he should be punished". Ra'as al-Ghul nodded, agreeing wholeheartedly with Amira.

He pulled out his sword, but to their surprise, he pointed it at Roy who was the closest to him. Amira almost flinched, but stopped herself. She stared as the sword caused a small cut on Roy's next.

Amira was transported back into the past, reliving the day her little brother died in a similar way. She couldn't allow herself to let it happen again, the first time it happened she was too weak to stop it, this time, she would and she was going on.

As Ra'as al-Ghul was about to strike Roy, Amira pushed her soul brother out of the way, stopping his hit with her sword. Ra'as al-Ghul took a step back, and she took a step forward. "I don't think you heard me your liege. I said, we should let them go".

Ra'as al-Ghul straightened himself "You dare defy me al-Jalaad?". Amira simply nodded, she feared his strength, but she feared the death of her loved ones even more. "Are you challenging me?". Amira nodded once again. A trial by combat didn't necessarily mean death for her, she's been training for this for weeks. Was she confident she could beat him? Not really, but she knew that with the right motivation she could, and right now, she had multiple sources of motivation.

To her surprise, Ra'as al-Ghul wore a small smile on his face and nodded. "I knew this day would come. You know what to do al-Jalaad, I'll see you tomorrow morning at dawn". Ra'as al-Ghul felt a sense of pride, ever since the day he met Amira, he knew she would be strong and hard headed, he knew she could lead and become the head of the League, he's been training her for it ever since.

Ra'as al-Ghul left for his living quarters, followed closely by Nyssa. Amira turned to team arrow, feeling the consequences of her actions coming. "Oh fuck". Team arrow were taken back to the cells, followed closely by Sara and Amira.

They all sat on the floor, with the bars keeping them apart. Roy finally asked what they've all been wondering:

"

- So what's this challenge thing about?

- Well we're going to fight to the death, either he kills me or I kill him

- What? No! Oliver objected

- It's fine, don't worry

- Amira, are you confident you'll win?

- Not fully, but at least I'll put up a good fight

- Amira it's not funny, you might die

- I might not

- You shouldn't have done this

- I had to, it's either me or you, I'm not worth four people dying for me

- What about me? Merlyn spoke out

- You shut up Merlyn I should've killed you already. Amira lashed out angrily

- But-

- It was his idea wasn't it? Amira knew Merlyn was the one who gave them the idea

- Yes but-

- After I precisely told you that if they came here the deal would be off.

- Wait what deal?

- That I would stay in the league, become Ra'as and give him the ring

- What?

- We made this deal right before I left, I guess his thirst for power made him speed things up

- It's not like that

- Merlyn one more word and I'll cut your tongue. I need to get ready for tomorrow. I'll come visit in the morning. Goodnight guys, I'll have someone bring you dinner

"

Amira left to find Sarab, asking him to bring food for the prisoners. Her friend obeyed and later went to see her.

Sarab and Amira sat on the windowsill, looking at the sky:

"

- Are you ready for tomorrow?

- I haven't given it much thought

- Are you doing this for Oliver Queen.

- You know him?

- He used to be a dear friend of mine. What about you?

- He is the love of my life

- He is?

- I've never loved like I loved him

- Love has made you weak

- Love has made me stronger, it gave me a reason to fight

- I don't want to see you die

- You won't

- So you're going to become the next Ra'as al-Ghul?

- I don't know, the League has never had a woman as the head of the demon

- Yet

- I'm not sure if I want to become Ra'as al-Ghul

- The League doesn't have a better option. It's either you, Nyssa or Merlyn

- So the plague or cholera?

- Exactly. Sarab chuckled at this comparison

- I guess I don't have much choice

- It's not only about you, it's an issue of balance. Someone has to bear that burden, and it's better for the world if it's you

- You're askng me to bear the world's weight on my shoulders?

- Isn't this what you've been doing for a while?

- You have a point, thank you

- Good luck for tomorrow, I hope to see you win

- Thank you Sarab, really

- You're welcome

"

Sarab left Amira alone who focused on sharpening her blade and getting ready for her big fight. She laid in bed, recalling every single fight she's had with him, down to the last detail. She memorized his every move, his stance, his speed, his strength and stamina, and he's been doing the same to her.

The both of them have been memorizing each other, they knew each other like the back of their hand and that was the thing that would make this fight epic.
