The rest of class went by as it always did, slow and boring. You had made progress on your work but you weren't even halfway done. Eh, who cares about history anyways? C's get degrees, as they say.

You couldn't help but smile to yourself as the bell finally rung. It was Friday and you were released from this prison for the next couple days. Unfortunately, your smile was quickly ripped away when your teacher spoke:

"Remember we have a test on Monday everyone, it's worth nearly 10% of your grade, so I hope you are all prepared."

Fuck. You pretty much knew nothing despite the fact you had been in class "studying" (mostly dozing off and daydreaming until the bell rung) the subject for weeks now. Normally a test like that wouldn't bother you, but your grade in the class was low as it was, failing that test could mean failing the class as a whole. Groans of displeasure rung throughout the classroom and you couldn't help but sigh along with them.

You looked over to Kakyoin, curious to see if he was just as miserable as you were. To your surprise, his expression was calm and relaxed, it looked as though he wasn't bothered at all. But surely he couldn't pass a test when he wasn't even in school the last two months, right?

"Think she'll give you an extra week to study or something? Considering how, yknow, you weren't even here?" You looked over to Kakyoin and asked. He looked over to you with a faint smile on his face.

"That won't be necessary, I can take the test on Monday," he spoke calmly, looking away again to begin putting his papers away.

"But you'll fail!" Your voice was loud now from the confusion of the boy's relaxed nature towards the test that he couldn't have been prepared for.

"Hm" Kakyoin hummed, smiling to himself as he tucked the papers into a folder in his backpack. "And how exactly do you know that?" He asked, looking to meet your eyes again. You felt your cheeks heat up a bit, realizing how accusatory you came off towards the polite and gentle Kakyoin.

"It's just- well, you haven't been at school so," you felt a little bad now but your logic made sense.

"I'm familiar with the content, I assure you I will not be failing, Y/N," Kakyoin said, flicking back the long, curled, bang that stuck out from the rest of his hair as he spoke.

Nerd.

"I see," The expression on your face was still that of confusion, but you decided to not question him further. "I'll see you on Monday then Kakyoin," You said as you stood up and started to walk out the door, looking over your shoulder to wave goodbye. He reciprocated and gave a soft smile as you left the room.

You left the hallways of the school and walked out into the courtyard, making your way to the exit. F/N darted out of class without you, you made a mental note to get her back for that. As you walked through the courtyard your mind couldn't move on from the stress and anxiety over the upcoming test. Your parents were going to kill you if you had to retake a class.

You felt someone tap your shoulder and spun around to look at them, knowing it was most likely F/N asking if you wanted to hang out over the weekend.

"You're a jerk for leaving me behind again you know tha-" you froze as your eyes met with a tall figure wearing a green uniform, you didn't remember F/N being nearly 5'10.

"You forgot this," Kakyoin spoke, opening his hand to give you the pencil you had let him borrow. Your face flushed when you realized how you close you were. He seemed to tower over you despite not being dramatically taller.

"T-thank you," you stuttered, avoiding his eyes and taking the pencil from him.

"Of course, have a good weekend now Y/N," Kakyoin replied, turning back around and beginning to walk away.

"Wait!" You stopped him before he got too far.

"Hm?" He looked over his shoulder and looked at you with a curious experience.

"Are you- busy today?" You asked him, trying to retain eye contact without looking away from embarrassment.

Kakyoin's face reddened, making you realize what you said could come off many ways.

"I'm not," Kakyoin was the one to avoid your eyes this time. "Is there.. a reason for your asking?" He asked shyly, making you feel sorta fluttery.

"You said you're confident you'll pass the test, I'm not sure I really know anything," you begun, feeling more and more embarrassed in front of the brilliant student before you. "Could you help me study?" You finally asked, glancing up to him with a hopeful expression. He took a few moments to respond, it looked like your question had flustered him more than you felt asking it.

"I'd be happy to," He finally responded, his face was brushed with a pink hue and his lips were bent into a kind smile.

You couldn't help but smile back, and you stepped a little closer to shorten the gap that grew between you when he was walking away.

"I need to get home to put my stuff away and change out of this uniform," you made a gesture to the school uniform you were wearing. "Could we meet up somewhere afterwards?"

"My parents are working right now and the house is empty, it would be an ideal place to study without all the extra noises and distractions other places may have," Kakyoin responded, likely not realizing what inviting you to come to his house alone with him inferred.

"Here, let me give you my address," Kakyoin pulled out an address book from his bag. You noticed it was completely empty aside from one address under the name "Kujo". He flipped to the front page where his own address was written and showed it to you. You took one look at it before speaking again.

"Alright, got it,"

"Got it?" Kakyoin made a confused expression.

"Memorized it." You said flatly, trying to hide your growing nerves.

"Hm." Kakyoin swiftly closed the book and put it back in his bag. "What was it then?"

"5326 Cherry Road," You replied without hesitation. Memorization was easy if you cared to do it.

"With memory like that, it's surprising you aren't prepared for the test," Kakyoin smiled slyly and knelt a little closer. He smelled like vanilla. "I'm not complaining though, I'm happy to teach you, Y/N,"

You opened your mouth to say something but couldn't speak, you hadn't noticed how beautiful his violet eyes shone before this. You couldn't help but blush as you looked up into them. All you could do was stutter and nod. Kakyoin straightened and stepped back.

"Make sure to bring your notebooks so I can help you write some things down,"

"O-okay!" You quickly turned away to hide the fact your face was now completely red. "I'll see you later then! Goodbye!" You broke into a sprint and left the courtyard before more could be said.

"She didn't give me a time..." Kakyoin muttered to himself, tilting his head slightly as he watched you leave so abruptly.
