MORE INFO/KEY TERMS:
Trickster God: a subcategory of gods that specialise in messing with mortals and overall making their lives more difficult
Éna: (Greek for 'one') leader/monarch of the gods, often has the most worshippers. The last Éna was Xelqua, but he retired and became a mortal to live in peace with the mortal man he fell in love with. Currently, there is no Éna and the Megala Tessera are vying for the position
Megala Tessera: (Greek for 'big four') The four most powerful gods after Xelqua- Psariah, Nekros, Chryso and Fotia (Jimmy, Cleo, Joel and Tango)- are all the gods of important parts of life (the ocean, death, the sky and the sun). These four are currently debating over who gets the position of Éna, and have been for the past ten years (since Grian retired from godliness (?))
Rule of Opadou: (derived from the Greek word for 'followers') the Rule of Opadou determines a god's abilities. The more followers they have, the more powerful their abilities. The title of most worshipped god in history was, at one point, a tie between Xelqua and Expyn, but Xelqua soon overtook his fellow trickster god in worshippers
Rule of Thanagapi: (a mix of the Greek words thanasimi ('mortal') and agapi 'love') the Rule of Thanagapi states that gods may not form any sort of bond with or have favouritism towards specific mortals or they will lose their abilities (E.g Grian would have lost his powers anyway for falling for a mortal, even if he hadn't retired). This rule exists because gods are meant to be impartial and not have favourites.
