Sawamura Daichi x Male!Reader [Fluff]

Volleyball practice drew out for longer than usual as we tried to keep mastering our plays, like blocking, setting, receiving, or serving. Currently, I was standing on the side, drying my sweat with my towel and downing my battle water. Practice was already done -thankfully- but Kageyama and Hinata would never understand that.

I chuckled as I set my bottle down on the bench, dropping my towel on my shoulders, and Daichi clapped his hands walking to the end of the court.

"Okay, that's enough, we have a match tomorrow, let's end it here," most of my teammates groaned in relief as their regained their breaths, walking to their sports bags. Everyone helped clean the gym and we all walked out to the changing room.

I stayed at the back with Daichi, waiting for him to lock the gym doors, and as soon as he was done, I held his waist and pulled him close to me, leaning down and kissing him softly.

"Can I stay at your place tonight?" I muttered against his lips, and he just stared at me with a subtle blush covering his cheeks, before showing me a small smile.

"Sure, babe," he grabbed my hand and we walked to the changing room, the second years have already left, along with Tsukishima and Yamaguchi, while Kageyama and Hinata argued about whatever. I let go of Daichi's hand and walked to my stuff, taking off my sports uniform and dressing with my uniform again, putting on the Karasuno jacket over it, and zipping it up.

I grabbed my stuff, hanging my bags on my shoulders and I stepped outside of the changing room, leaning against the railing as I waited for Daichi, Suga, and Asahi so we could all leave together.

Once the four of us left the building, we saw Kiyoko with Yachi walking home together, we were in complete silence until we had to part ways and only Daichi and I kept walking in the same direction.

I was feeling really, really tired, so I grabbed Daichi's hand and rested my head on top of his, my eyes closing as I kept walking by his side. Daichi squeezed my hand, and I looked down to leave a kiss on his temple.

"Don't fall asleep on me, (M/n), we're almost home." I felt a small smile tugging my lips up as he said 'home', somehow it made me feel really fuzzy and tingly inside, like the mention of us going together home...

It made me imagine a really long relationship with Daichi, and that made me feel extremely happy.

Far ahead, I saw the lights of Daichi's house, and I had to let go of his hand, walking straight once again. We walked in after he unlocked the door, and his parents greeted us. His mother smiled at me, a sad look in her eyes as we made eye contact, I looked away for an instant before smiling back at her.

Daichi's parents knew about my situation at home, and they were very understanding of everything, so the fact that they left me to stay here made me feel so grateful for having them in my life. And because of how often I spent here, I have some change of clothes, including pajamas.

Daichi and I took turns taking a shower, and we got into bed. His bed was for only one person, but we always slept together and it was never weird, especially less now than we're dating, so we got in, covered ourselves, and held each other close, sharing body heat.

My arms were wrapped around his waist, holding him close to my chest as he snuggled against me, I nuzzled his hair softly, sighing and leaving kisses on his brown short hair. Our legs tangled together as his arms wrapped my middle, his hands pressing on my back, holding me closer too.

This was the only moment I could relax and not worry about anything else, and even though it was a temporary solution, it was the most effective way.

"I love you, Daichi," I whispered in the darkness of the room, not really expecting a response as it had already passed a while since we were laying down on the bed, but when his hold tightened I realized he was still awake. I felt him shifting and looking up, barely being to look into his brown eyes as the dark surrounded us, but I somehow could see his eyes, and they were shining as they looked into mine.

He leaned closer and reached a hand up to hold my chin, gently pulling me closer to kiss me, slowly backing away and cuddling on my chest once more.

"I love you too, (M/n)."

A smile grew on my face and I hugged him tightly, closing my eyes and taking deep breaths, soon falling asleep.
