Arcane; League of Legends

(I've never played League of Legends and I have no idea what the lore of it is, so this may be somewhat inaccurate since I'm basing most things I know with the series, like the ages, I tried not to make them too old since we don't really know their canon ages, but please enjoy)

Warning; mage!reader, ending spoilers, silco & reader are approx 9 years apart, angsty plot with happy ending...?

Since long ago, (M/n) has been close to Vander and Silco. They were like his older brothers, always taking care of him whenever his parents had to leave for work over in Piltover.

He and Silco had always been really attached, he liked playing with the thin male more than Vander, since (M/n) always found his large body quite intimidating. Even so, his parents never forgot to remind their son of one simple thing.

Never, under any circumstances, tell anyone you're a mage let alone, use your magic.

(M/n) learned at quite an early age, close to five, that the Enforcers would kill them if they even found out about them being mages.

Everyone in Runeterra knew that mages still existed, but here, in the city where he lived, they weren't very well-liked, so his family had to hide it. And they did. However, (M/n)'s parents died in an unfortunate accident involving Enforcers and some thugs from the undercity, leaving (M/n) all by himself at the age of eight.

Silco was seventeen at the time, and he took care of the (h/c) haired boy along with a kind of reluctant eighteen years old Vander.

The years went by, and (M/n) kept growing every day, he started wanting to fight and defend himself, knowing that Silco was the kind of guy who couldn't raise his fist at someone. He would ask Vander every day if he could teach him some self-defense moves, but he would only push him away and keep on with his work.

And it was now, at this very moment that he knew he should've just asked someone else to teach him how to fight.

His weak, fifteen-year-old body helplessly watched as Vander tried to keep Silco under the water long enough to... kill him.

(M/n) knew the older male had been waiting for him, meeting in their usual spot to just talk and laugh like any other normal person. And that's the sight he was greeted with once he arrived. He saw Silco's arms flailing around, throwing weak punches at Vander, on the very rare occasion he was able to take a small breath of air, but he was immediately pushed back into the water.

His eyes were filled with tears, his breathing turning heavy and his body shook in place. He was frozen by fear, he didn't know what to do. His body was small and weak, he could never win against Vander-

"Hel-!" Silco's screams of help reached his ear, (M/n) watched him struggle to get his head out of the water for less than a second, and that was just enough for the teen boy to snap back to reality, "(M/-)!"

He took a deep breath as he frantically looked around for something he could use to push Vander away from Silco, and he found it.

There was a metal pipe laying on the floor behind some wooden planks, he rushed towards it and grabbed it with shaky hands. At that moment, when he got in the water and started moving closer to Vander he realized.

Silco wasn't moving anymore.

"No!" He exclaimed, lifting the metal pipe above his head with shaky arms and lowering it down hard onto Vander's back. His stance wobbled, his head turning to glance over his shoulder at him, but Silco wasn't going to let Vander get close to (M/n).

Wrapping his slim fingers around the knife Vander always carried on the right side of his belt, he gathered at much strength as he could, his mind getting foggy and dizzy with how long he hadn't been receiving oxygen properly. Vander groaned from the pain, looking away from (M/n) and back at Silco, reaching his right arm out to try and push him back underwater, however, Silco was quicker, slicing his forearm open and rushing towards (M/n).
