Eren wasn't sure how much more of this he could actually take.Humdrum conversations between a family that was barely holding it together by a single thread— pretending that anyone even cared about what happened at work today or how school was going. It was becoming increasingly awkward and uncomfortable, especially since Zeke still couldn't manage to utter more than five words to him. The imagery forces a subtle smile on his lips, one that doesn't go unnoticed by the other men seated at the table.
