Taeri looked around the room, looking for three more people. Where did they go? Jay seemed to know what Taeri was looking for immediately and spoke up.

"Sunghoon and Jia went to settle the payment. Heeseung hyung went to buy you food." Jay said and Taeri just nodded.

Jake's face appeared in her head. What is Jake doing now? Where is that man now? She wanted to see Jake but her body was still weak.

She wanted to question but surely Jay would suspect something.

"How did you all find me and Jake?"

"That night, Jake went out to get some fresh air. Heeseung hyung thought there is something Jake is hiding so he asked me to follow him. We lost track of Jake but we got traces of his phone. And the trail led into the forest so we planned an ambush." explained Jay at length.

Taeri was just silent, the events of the night were still fresh in her mind. She was suddenly approached by a girl and she asked her for help. Then she followed the girl and finally she was given a whiff of chloroform.

After that, she realised that she was tied to the bed by Nicholas's men. Taeri was very angry with the man.

Especially the woman who was with Jake.

"We will be back early! Taeri, please take care of yourself huh? " Jay said while stroking Taeri's cheek softly. Taeri was shocked but she nodded slowly.

Jieun just watched behind the door. Her eyes looked directly at Jay's hand which was still holding Taeri's cheek. She doesn't like it.

Is she starting to have feelings for Jay? Impossible! The man was very rude and often hurt her. There's no way she likes Jay.

"Well, why are you brooding?" Jieun's reverie stopped and he

looked at Jay.

The man raised one of his eyebrows before stepping away from Jieun. The girl slowly followed Jay while watching Jay's broad shoulders. The heart beating is abnormal.

"Choi Jieun, you're crazy." he whispered.

Back to Taeri.

The girl just lay on her bed waiting for Jake. Yes, she and Jake will be put in the same room because of Sunghoon's request. Luckily the doctor agreed.

She was reading a book until the door of her room was wide open.

Several nurses pushed the bed next to Taeri's bed. It was Jake and he was still half conscious.

"Miss Kang, my lover, is still not completely sane. So please watch him. If there is a problem please press the blue button." the nurse ordered before stepping out.

Lover? Taeri wanted to laugh at that. If only they knew Taeri and Jake's true relationship.

Taeri then continued reading the book and didn't realise if Jake was fully awake. But the man chose to stare at his wife's face.

"Beautiful." Jake muttered.

Taeri turned and saw Jake staring at her. Jake tried to get up but couldn't because his body was still weak. So, he leaned on the bed alone.

Jake gave a thin smile, "you've-"

"don't talk to me " cut in Taeri.

She proceeded to close the book and turn off her desk lamp. The mood to read a book was gone as soon as she saw some red marks on Jake's neck. Taeri enveloped her body with blanket.
