"Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
For we have not an high priest who cannot be touched with feelings of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in the time of need" Hebrews 4:14-16Hebrews is where I landed today and this is what I learnt and understood from the verses above:
We each have a sin we are struggling with. A weakness. No matter how much we try to resist this sin or weakness we keep falling into it only to end up feeling guilty.
It could be a drug addiction, it could be immorality, it could be anger, it could be pride, it could be gossiping, it could be judging others and so much more. Our accuser the devil derives Joy in accusing us of this sins, he derives joy in reminding us of it everytime, he makes us feel like God loves us less because of that sin, and worse is he makes us feel like we can never get rid of that sin.
But the bible tells us that we do not have an high priest that cannot be touched with the feelings of our infirmities, for he himself was tempted (though he did not sin) while he was on earth. He knows how we feel, he knows our struggles. He understands.
He doesn't love us any less like the devil is trying to make us feel, all we need to do is come boldly before the throne of grace and obtain Mercy. He would not cast us away.
Let us go to God and cry for mercy and he will forgive us and we should also pray for grace. His grace will help us overcome that sin, For His grace is ever sufficient and His strength is made perfect in our weakness.
Praise God.

"For we do not have a high priest which cannot be touched with the feelings of our infirmities.....I so love this verse....
I pray that we will always have the boldness to ask God for mercy and obtain grace to not sin again. Amen.
