(Lucy POV)

"I can hold my breath. I can bite my tongue."

Erza was right. Once I started singing my fears and nerves disappeared, I felt like nothing could stop me anymore, like I was invincible.

"I can stay awake for days if that's what you want. Be your number one."

"I can fake a smile."

I started to let my voice take over everything, my thoughts, worries, troubles just vanished.

"I can force a laugh. I can dance and play the part of that's what you ask. Give you all I am."

This song is everything that I am, that I am feeling, it's like it was made for me. So in return for this song I was, no I am going to sing it the best I ever could. I was going to let everyone m is my true feelings. The true me.

"I can turn it on. Be a good machine. I can hold the weight of worlds of that's what you need. Be your everything."

I turned to Natsu and stared at him in the eyes, making sure he could see my soul through mine. I wanted him to know that I am broken, but I can do anything, now that he has cracked open my shell.

"I can do it."

"I'll get through it."

I went back to the chorus and started swaying and bouncing to to the music. The booing crowd was now cheering me on and the were really encouraging.

"I'm only human."

I sang the last note perfectly to prove that I am good at singing, that I can top that pink haired idiot.

I finished with my heart beating and my lungs begging for oxygen. The building was in chaos. Nobody expected that I would actually be good at singing. "Thank you." I said breathlessly. I turned around and gave Erza, Levy, and Juvia a group hug, squealing that we did it. We walked off stage with huge smiles on our faces, I couldn't help but notice a wide-eyed pinkette in shock with his mouth touching the ground.

(Natsu POV)
I can't believe this. Her voice is like an angel. the way she sang with her entire soul and body was incredible. When she looked at me that one time though her eyes were telling me a story, one that no one knows, but I couldn't figure out what it was.

When Lucy came off stage I noticed she was smirking at me and I noticed my mouth was hanging wide open. I quickly closed it and replaced it with a smirk. She strutted over to where I was, roughly shoved the mic in my chest and said, "Topped it."

I couldn't help but laugh now i knew for sure what she was, to everyone, the world and to me. But of course I knew from the start.

After all, she is my mate.
