(Lucy POV)
"Luce?" A familiar voice said. I looked up to see pink hair. Natsu. "I found you, but you don't need to cry about it." I got up and dusted myself off and wiped my tears away. "No I wasn't crying about that." "Well then why were you crying?" He asked curiously."Nothing. It doesn't matter." I said looking around for the exit. "It does matter." He said walking up to me. "Because you matter to me." He said putting stray strands of my golden hair behind my hair.
I blushed like mad at his sweet words, because they really took me by surprise. I looked into his eyes. Concern, mystery, and most importantly. Love.
"Natsu, are there any rides you don't get sick on?" I asked hoping that he would forget about me crying. His eyes eyes went back to their normal childish and joyful way. "Well there is one ride that I only get a headache on. Wanna go on that one as our last ride?" Natsu asked. I nodded talking his hand in mine, while he lead me out of the hell house.
(Natsu POV)
"The Ferris wheel?" Lucy asked looking up at the huge ride. "Yup! Still want to ride it?" She nodded and I smiled. I walked over to the short line for the ride.As soon as we got in our little compartment I got a headache, but decided to ignore it. We sat across from each other, I was kind of disappointed, but I'll survive.
The ride finally started, and as always I started to whine that my head hurt. And it really did! "Natsu just focus on me and forget the pain. You are going to be fine. I promise." Lucy said soothingly.
I decided to take up on Lucy's advice, to just focus on her. Her silky, golden hair. pink lips. The way her eyes sparkled brighter than the stars themselves. And the way she smiles and talks is just so perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better mate.
"Luce, come sit next to me. You're too far away." Lucy stood up and sat down next to me, and as she moved to get comfortable I was able to get a nice long whiff of her scent. Vanilla and strawberries.
After she stopped moving I swung my arm around her. She flinched a bit, but then relaxed. She looked up at me with her big doe eyes, smiled, then rested her head on my shoulder. Which took me by surprise because it felt really nice.
As we reached the highest point on the Ferris wheel I felt my date shiver. I can't blame her, it got dark quicker than I thought so it got colder too.
I took my jacket and draped it over her shoulders, then put my arm around her waist and the other on her thigh. She looked up at me confused then whispered. "Natsu?"
I looked down at her. Dang she's so cute. I sighed. "You were cold." I stated. I took another deep breath. "Listen, Lucy. I'm sorry for everything that I've done to you for the past 2 years. Please forgive me." I begged looking down at the bottom of our compartment.
I couldn't bring myself to look in her eyes, the same eyes I have been ignoring for the past 2 years because I was oblivious and stupid.
I felt a hand on my cheek, I slowly looked at the owner of the hand. Lucy smiled at me with a little hint of pink on her face because our faces were just centimetres apart. "Yes."
I can't believe she forgave me just like that, I really don't deserve this amazing girl. I looked at her facial features but stopped at her lips. Then went back to her eyes, then lips, then back to her eyes.
I smiled softly. "Good, because I'll tell you a little secret." I said leaning towards her ear. "What is it?" She whispered. "I think I'm in love with you." I whispered then pulled back from her ear.
