In Cambridge Falls, 30 and 31 year old Kate and Rafe Wibberly celebrate their 10 year wedding anniversary with their family and friends around a bonfire to warm the March night. 10 years of smooth marriage, no massive disasters, no wars, no one trying to kill them. They and their two kids were comfortable and finally at peace.

In New York City, Bee Sommers celebrates her 20th birthday with her girlfriend, Tera Brewer. It's a long night of tarot reading and birthday rituals and kisses exchanged between the two. It's 5 AM when she wakes drenched in sweat, looks over at Tera still sleeping soundly next to her, and then climbs out of bed. She packs a bag and walks out of the shared apartment, without even leaving a note.
