And I wish that was easy, Turning back time.
Mistakes un-made. Choices never pursued.
I wish it was that easy, To erase the never wanted memories.
Like the sandcastles that are destroyed when the waves come in.
But my sandcastles are far ashore, never touching the hopeful waves.
But then came rain.
It trickled down, drop by drop.
Until the castles were crumbled. Turned dust.
And I waited for the warmth of happiness.
But all I could feel was the numbness the cold rain left behind.
And I wish it was that easy, Turning back time.
I wish it was that easy.
