Nidal x Salish (Nalish)

Chapter 8 - November 29th

Nidal's POV-

     It's been around 2 weeks since I realized my feelings for Salish, I still don't know if I want to admit it but they're stronger than I initially thought.

    Thats besides the point, the point is today is November 28th, and the 29th is tomorrow. You're probably wondering why that's important, tomorrow on the 29th, is Salish's Birthday, and I've gotten Salish many gifts in the past but I want this one to be special

     It's her 17th birthday so she has her.. I have a perfect idea but I have to check with Jordan to make sure it's okay.

     Calls Jordan

    "Hey Jordan so you know how tomorrow is Salish's birthday? Well I have the perfect gift but I want to make sure it's okay with you," I told him.

     "Okay what is it?" He asked.

     I took a deep breath and started to tell him, "we'll ever since Salish was 13, she told me she wanted a white Jeep, and she even told you in the turning 21 for the day video," I began.

     "Okay I think I know where your going with this, and I want to say I think it's a good idea especially because she's getting her license soon because she passed her permit test," he said. "But I do have a simple request," he stated.

     Hopefully this doesn't ruin the surprise, I kept repeating in my head, "yeah?" Was all I actually said though.

     "Well Jeeps cost a lot of money and I appreciate you wanting to get it for her fully, but if I come to the dealership with you, then I'll pay for half of it," he said.

     "Yeah, no that's great, thank your Jordan, I'll text you all the details come to the dealership I send you the address of at like 5pm, thank you again," I said before hanging up.

     This is perfect.

Jordan's POV-

     I think it's really cute how Nidal got Salish this Jeep, they've been best friends for a long time now, and his birthday is coming up soon too, so I'm going to be getting him something really good.

     Nidal's mom is going to have the car delivered to our house in the middle of opening presents so when Nidal gives her his, she can go outside and see the white Jeep.

     Like I said it's really sweet, and Salish is really lucky to have a Nidal in her life.

     Lately I've been a little skeptical though, I don't see Salish seeing anything in Nidal other than friendship, but I think I've seen Nidal being overly friendly toward her for a while.

     This is way better than that Micheal kid though, I know Salish thought only a couple people knew but it was so obvious, we just didn't say anything to her because we didn't want her to be embarrassed, I don't think they're going out now though.

     I've known Nidal for a long time, and even though he was a reckless kid, I can see the young man he's grown up to be, so if anything that's not friendship happens I hope Salish tells me, because I'm fully supportive.

Nidal's POV-

      I went to bed that night thinking about Salish's reaction, I hope she's happy.

     I would do anything to see her happy even if it means buying her an expensive car, or seeing her with another guy that she liked instead of me- No. What am I doing, I can't like Salish, she's made it very obvious she does like me that way.

     I still went to bed thinking about her though.

     The next morning I woke up pretty late at around 12 and the party starts at 1 so I should probably hurry.
