Storybrooke (present)
Every year for as long as Hyacinth Mills could remember, October 1st would roll around and the Midnight Club would gather. This would probably have to be the most amount of time the group of friends would all get to spend with each other. Every night up until Halloween, they'd hang out at Victor's house, crowd around his basement's fireplace, turn off all the lights, light some candles, and share spooky stories that they made up for themselves, and only them.
In fact, Hyacinth couldn't recall a time when they hadn't done this. It was just something they've been doing.
All year, Hyacinth spent her days coming up with a new story—not just for her friends benefits, but for herself as well.
Sometimes, she actually found herself looking toward her friends and schoolmates for a bit of inspiration. One of her newest stories has her friend, Cory Brooks, as the main character. She'd never show it to him, though—She had a feeling he might not appreciate it.
The Midnight Club was a group that strictly consisted of six people; Liana Wes, Jack Krueger, Victor Royal, Sabrina Darling, Alison Grace Walker, and lastly, herself, Hyacinth Mills. That was it. No one else was allowed to join the group of six. Not even Sabrina's geeky boyfriend, Ricky Schorr, no matter how many times she begged the group: "You're just gonna break up and it'll make things awkward for the rest of us at meetings," Jack had said when she asked for the dozenth time.
