Agent Phil Coulson sipped his coffee as he looked at his, soon to be employee.

It has been two days since he had offered the job to this mysterious man, and in that time he still hadn't figured out this individual or his true intentions.

Ashura Ketchum is a pariah in the database. Possessing extraordinary powers yet never flaunting and boasting about it like one Tony Stark.

In the months he had appeared in the
S.H.I.E.L.D's Radar, he had done nothing to warrant a watch, except using his powers to protect anyone in need.

But the one eyed big boss back in the Helicarrier, being the paranoid individual he is, ordered a 24/7 surveillance of Ketchum, in order to find out what his true intentions are.

Coulson couldn't fault Nick for being paranoid. The man had seen some real shit, most of it being classified even to Level 7 Agents.

"I wonder what we are doing here?" Ash asked looking bored "We could have discussed this matter back at the Cafe I worked at. My Manager is very nice, she would have given us 10℅ discount on the dishes".

"She just wants to sleep with you. You Idiot!!" Phil wanted to snark back, but he composed himself like the agent he is. Instead saying "I am sorry for the inconvenience. But I prefer to work in a familiar terrain".

Ash raised his eyebrows, smiling.

"That is why there are two Snipers in the nearby building keeping watch on me?"

Phil's blood ran cold.

"And the couple, sitting just two tables away monitoring us, have turned their heads at least a dozen times. Not as sneaky as they think they are, eh Phil?! Perhaps they are in need of more training in the art of subtlety" He teased before looking at a blond Waiter "I didn't know that the Waiter's serve there customers while keeping an armed Pistol on their waist?".

Coulson took a deep breath, trying to calm his beating heart. This Man just identified the Sniper's position, as well as all his hidden agents in the Cafe like it isn't any big deal.

Ash just smiled as he looked at Phil, who was trying to keep his passive bland expression on his face, but his eyes showed his warriness.

"You do know those weapons won't even scratch me right?" Ash asked curiously, resting his chin on his right palm.

"You aren't offended?" Phil asked a little surprised, that the man isn't angry. If Phil would have found himself in such a compromising position like this, then he would have immediately stormed the area.

Ash shook his head "I can't fault you for being paranoid. I am still an unknown factor in your equation" He nodded at the agent "But you didn't answer my question?"

Phil sipped his coffee to calm the nerves before answering "The Agents are carrying the new experimental Charge Shaped bullets, courtesy of Stark Industries. Tests showed, that it is capable of piercing through metres of depleted Uranium" He answered truthfully, knowing there is no point with lying "Its relatively new and its effectiveness hadn't been tested in field operations yet".

"So I am the Guinea Pig for these new Weapons, in case anything happened" Ash looked more amused by it. Coulson's shoulder tensed, but before he can say anything, a Waitress arrived to take their orders.

"Your order sirs?" The Waitress asked them both, but Coulson can clearly see her attention is focused on Ash, or more importantly, his face.

"A Cheese Sandwich please" Ash replied smiling warmly causing the Waitress to blush and bite her bottom lip.
