With a playful squeal, (y/n) hobbled along the familiar path, her brother and Hinata trailing behind her. The training camp had brought about significant changes, particularly for Hinata and Kageyama. It became evident that they needed some space to refine their skills individually. However, Keishin found himself at a loss on how to approach the matter, unsure of how to guide Hinata in spiking on his own. That's when an idea struck him like a lightning bolt.

"Time to pay a visit to Gramps," Keishin declared, a mischievous glimmer in his eyes.

As the familiar house came into view, (y/n) couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement. Every step was a struggle on her crutches, hindering her progress. Sensing her eagerness, Keishin swiftly snatched away her crutches, his eyes sparkling mischievously.

"You're not gonna let those crutches slow you down, (y/n)," he declared with a smirk, sweeping (y/n) off her feet and onto his back for a piggy-back ride. It was one of the unexpected upsides of her sprained ankle—a chance to experience Keishin's awesome big brother mode.

Hinata, amused by their antics, was handed the crutches by Keishin. "Oi, Hinata, carry these for me. I'm sprinting ahead, so try to keep up."

With that, Keishin bolted forward, his powerful strides echoing in the air as he roared to announce their arrival. Hinata jogged alongside them, his laughter blending with the joyous chaos. Kenta, their furry companion, dashed ahead of the group, tail wagging excitedly.

Finally, the figure of (y/n)'s grandfather came into view, engrossed in coaching a group of young boys. His face lit up with delight at the sight of his beloved granddaughter.

"Gramps~!" (y/n) called out with a giggle as she carefully slid off Keishin's back, accepting her crutches from a slightly trembling Hinata.

Without hesitation, the older man rushed over, enfolding (y/n) in a protective embrace. "How's my little crow doing?" he affectionately inquired, his voice filled with warmth. "Keishin better be taking care of you at home. He better not let any boys near you—I'll feed them to the crows if they try."

Hinata's heart skipped a beat, the intensity of (y/n)'s grandfather's protective aura giving him a momentary shudder. His mind raced with thoughts and questions. 'I haven't been hitting on her, right? I mean, she's beautiful, and I like her, but I haven't done anything... I think?'

Meanwhile, Keishin observed the affectionate encounter between (y/n) and their grandfather with an incredulous expression, finding amusement in the display of love. However, a hint of annoyance crept into his voice as he questioned the difference in treatment.

"How come she gets a hug, and I get insulted?" he quipped, slightly miffed.

"She's injured and not gutless like you," the older man explained with a grin. "Besides, she's my baby granddaughter who takes after me."

Slightly embarrassed, (y/n) chuckled at her grandfather's response, exchanging updates with him about her ankle, forehead, and the training camp. Kenta, sensing the welcoming atmosphere, approached the elderly man, nuzzling up to him in an attempt to make a new friend. The gesture worked like magic, as Ikkei showered Kenta with treats and affection.

As Keishin began to explain the current situation to Ikkei, the response they received was unexpected. Within seconds, Keishin found himself being swiftly flipped across the ground as Ikkei roared at him for being a gutless brat. Hinata, feeling a mix of shock and concern, realized it was his cue to step in and help out. Seeing this, (y/n), with determination in her eyes, hobbled towards Hinata's side.

"Hinata, meet my and Onii-chan's grandfather, Ukai Ikkei." she introduced him, a small smile gracing her face.

"H-h-hello!" Hinata managed to squeak out, slightly intimidated by the imposing figure before him.

Ikkei, curious about the young boy's game style, began questioning Hinata, quickly realizing that he bore a striking resemblance to the Small Giant he had coached long ago. His eyes sparkled with recognition and a glimmer of excitement.

Meanwhile, (y/n) played with Kenta, keeping an eye on the conversation between her grandfather, brother, and Hinata. Her grandfather's attention seemed to be solely focused on Hinata, disregarding their conversation. That was until Ikkei, seizing an opportunity, invited Hinata to practice blocking some spikes.

With animated gestures and a passionate tone, Ikkei demonstrated the different tempos in volleyball, guiding Hinata through the intricacies of the sport. (Y/n) couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and admiration as she watched her grandfather share his wisdom with the aspiring volleyball player. It dawned on her that, for someone like Hinata, who hadn't been part of a proper team before, these lessons were invaluable, laying the foundation for his growth.

As the practice continued, Ikkei made his way over to Keishin, ready to impart some knowledge. Their conversation grew intense, with Keishin seemingly having an epiphany after hearing his grandfather say a certain thing.

"So, I don't know what sort of secret weapon this particular set has been for you." Ikkei started "But one thing is for certain. The best way for a setter to put the ball up is in the way that is easiest for the hitter to hit. Period."

"That's right," Keishin muttered to himself. "Just one weapon isn't enough. Hinata, you stay here and practice!"

"Oi!" (y/n) shouted after her brother as he started to bolt away. "Where are you going?"

"To see Kageyama!" Keishin shouted back, his excitement palpable.

"What about taking me to the park?!" (y/n) demanded, a playful pout forming on her lips.

"Keishin, did you promise my granddaughter a trip to the park?" Ikkei interjected, raising an eyebrow.

"Yes, sir. I'll drop her off on my way," Keishin grumbled, a hint of a pout on his face.

"Good. Bye, kiddo. Be safe," Ikkei said, ruffling (y/n)'s hair one more time before waving to both her and her brother.

"Sure, let's give her a goodbye too." Keishin started on the walk to the car "But no, I just get called gutless and have to drive you around."

"Hey, no hard feelings, Nii-chan. I'm just the favorite." (y/n) said, a mischievous twinkle in her eyes.

"Damn jinx," Keishin grumbled, shaking his head. Deep down, though, he couldn't help but appreciate the bond he shared with his sister.

As they reached the car, (y/n) slid into the passenger seat, ready for their trip to the park. Keishin sighed, his annoyance fading away as he glanced at his sister.

"Alright, let's get going, favorite," he said, a faint smile tugging at the corners of his lips.

"Deal with it, second favorite," (y/n) retorted playfully, knowing that their sibling banter was all part of the unbreakable bond they shared.

Together, they embarked on their adventure, leaving behind the echoes of laughter and the comforting presence of family.
