Gianna woke up yawning and stretching her limbs out. She made her bed before taking out distress jeans, a tank top, underwear, socks and a red Polo shirt.
She undressed and got into her connected bathroom.
She covered herself in a towel before brushing her teeth and showering.
She got out of the shower and moisturized herself, slipping on underwear before putting on deodorant.
She put on her clothes and took out some Converse shoes to wear.
She got her phone and purse before going to the kitchen.
She found Teyana making breakfast.
“Morning”, She smiled
Teyana looked at her, “Morning, you ready for work”
“I wish I didn't have to go but you know I'm saving for this car”, She sighed sitting by the barstool
“What car you want again?”, Teyana began making a plate for Gianna
“I want a lil Mercedes”, she shrugged
She'd been saving up for a car and the cheapest Mercedes was $103 000 and she'd saved $71000 which included donations from her parents and her brother, Giveon.
Just like the apartment she shared with Teyana, their parents had bought them the apartment as a graduation gift.
They have been working at their respective workplaces since 18 and also went to college.
Gianna studied to be a event planner while Teyana studied to be a teacher. Now 22, Teyana and Gianna feel as though that they aren't really ready to be working in the real world so they stayed at their jobs but Gianna began to ponder looking out for something more.
“How much you got so far”, she sat a plate in front of Gianna with some apple juice
Gianna began eating her food, “Around 71k, so 32k is still in need”
Teyana shrugged eating her food, “That's good atleast”
“Yeah, and I can't wait because this could actually mean that I can start job hunting, easy travel.”, Gianna smiled
Teyana rose her eyebrow, “You gonna leave Footlocker”
“Not now, but definitely months later. I got money saved for emergencies, money for splurging, money for necessities and my degree be backing it up for me so they ain't nun stopping me now and if I'm not ready, then will I ever be?”, Gianna drank her apple juice
Teyana nodded her head, “Gotchu really and I'm so ready to start looking for jobs. I'm just a bit scared but you right. We basically sorted, I gotta car and money saved for anything so I guess we could start”
Gianna smiled, “I'm so ready for this, I'mma enjoy my last months at footlocker”
“Girl and I'mma enjoy getting free meals from McD while it lasts”, Teyana frowned making Gianna laugh
“You can't be sad about that”, Gianna chuckled
“Saves me $40 every week”, Teyana shrugged taking her phone
Teyana checked the time, “Ooh, it's 8:35, you want me to drive you to work”, she walked out of the apartment with Gianna following her
“Please and pick me up”, Gianna pouted as she got into the passenger seat of Teyanaʼs car
