In half an hour Kassandra was standing at the hall waiting for Lucius. But he didn't come. In ten minutes she began to lose patience.

"Where the hell is he?" she asked herseff.

She decided, that Lucius changed his mind about going for a walk and wanted to go alone. She headed to the door.

"Where are you going, Ms. Jones" she heard Lusius's voice behind her back.

  Kassandra turned around.

"I thought you will never come" she said grumpy.

Lucius grinned and arched his eyebrow.

"Something does not suit you?" he asked.

"As you're a noble man, you should know that being late is inappropriate. Moreover, making a woman  wait" Kassandra said.

"You want to talk about manners?" Lucius snapped, knowing she was right.

The reason of his being late was unexpected hesistation. She couldn't get the morning picture out of his head. Now he felt uncomfortable in front of Kassandra. This irritated a lot.

Kassandra hardly held herself from rolling her eyes. She was sure Lucius wanted to cause her reaction. It seemed to her, that Lucius liked getting on her nerves.

For Malfoy such behaviour wasn't typical. But now it was really fun to see Kassandra trying hard to show she doesn't care about his provocations.

Lucius and Kassandra went to the garden. He inhaled the fresh air with pleasure. He walked outside for the first time after being released from Azkaban. Kassandra noticed his slight smile. In bright sunlight his grey eyes with a shadow of blue were shining like icicles. It was mesmerizingly beautiful.

"Do you really like my eyes?" Lucius asked arching his eyebrow.

"Eavesdropping someone's thoughts is a moxie" she said.

"You didn't answer my question" Lucius said.

"You don't back up till I unswer?" Kassandra asked.

"I always get what I want" he replied.

"Well, at least I look at your eyes not at your ass" she said looking at him closely.

Lucius gulped, being taken aback by her audacity. He understood, that the girl reads his minds. He suddenly stopped and grabbed her shoulder. She felt pulses all over her body like electricity.

  "How dare you?" she outraged.

"Ms. Jones. Don't dare to break into my head" he said irritated, drilling her with a sharp gaze of his grey eyes.

Besides usual cold Kassandra saw in his eyes sparkles she haven't noticed before.

"I won't break into your head if you stop breaking into mine. And I didn't hear nothing if you thought quietly" she said.

"I think as I want. And you don't dare breaking into my thoughts again. I won't repeat twice" he said. "And your ass is the last thing I would like to look at."

Suddenly Kassandra grinned looking into his eyes.

"What's so funny?" he asked, feeling growing irritation.

"I see my treatment has paid off. You feel better, Mr. Malfoy. Your bad character already seeps out. You even raise your voice. Well. That's great" she replied calmly.

Indeed she urged to say something nasty. But she decided to save it for another time.

"Do you like  to be shouted at?" Lucius asked with a smirk.
