You never know what someone's going through
Dying inside but they smile at you.
Crying inside but they seem so fine
How could you fail to see the signs?
You didn't read between the lines.
Never doubt when they tell you, " Life is rough"
They might walk around head held high and tough.
But we are all human and dealing with stuff,
And you never quite know when someone has had enough.
You never know what someone's going through
Anxiety stirring begging to brew
Mind unwinding like there's a loosen screw
BOO!
Depression creeping up scaring you
Everything they seem to do-
Nothing Works...
Never doubt when they say, "Life is rough."
They might walk around head held high and tough.
Despair has already taken enough.
Shame has them tied down,
Guilt has them cuffed.
Waiting for someone to call them out on their bluff.
Never doubt if they ask for help too
That's something most aren't proud to do
Show them the world isn't just black and blue
For some people have trouble starting anew.
