Chapter 46: Emotional Validation

Engfa POV

Checking in at the hotel, a large group of fans have already arrived Chiang Mai beforehand waiting for our arrival. Knowing I was recovering from the flu they have prepared gifts for me upon my arrival.  With being sick and Char still mad at me, the suite room that was prepared for both of us to stay in ended up being swapped where I was staying with P'Sun instead. 

I wanted to room with Char at any cause but at the same time, I thought rooming together would make Char uncomfortable and moreover I didn't want her to get sick either. Having spent the first night with P'Sun and waking up reading Char's tweets saying she felt lonely in the large suite room really made me feel like a terrible girlfriend for making her go through all of this. Especially knowing she has a hard time being alone and on top of that nowm staying in such a large room alone she must've felt scared. At that moment I made a decision and texted MaeWi knowing that she was coming to Chiang Mai tomorrow.  

 Mae! I was wondering when you were arriving? (Fa) < [08:02] 

If possible... could you come earlier and stay with Char (Fa) < [08:02]

I'm unable to stay with her in the suite so she's alone (Fa) < [08:02]

[09:12] > (Wi) Is everything okay? 

[09:12]  > (Wi) My flight is for tomorrow night, but I can try and change it to tonight

[09:12] > (Wi) Don't worry, I'll come and take care of her!

Thank you! Thank you! (Fa) < [09:24]

Feeling relieved that MaeWi was able to come and accompany Char, I got ready for our event today. Throughout the day, Char did finally speak to me but only when she had to due to work. Other than the few occasions, she would go talk to the fans while I stole glances at her. Although it did seem like she was starting to tolerate my presence a little more, I could still feel the disappointment and anger she had from that night. 

With a few hours of break time, I went out to a neighboring supermarket and brought back things that were Char's favorites hoping to still take care of her any way that I could. I got her favorite drinks, snacks, and things to help her sleep and take care of her health since we have a busy week here. I hung it by her door secretly and left before she noticed me. 

Later that night, I saw that MaeWi has arrived as promised and was in the room spending time with Char. As I was about to sleep, to my surprise I received a text from Ariya. 

[22:16] > (Ariya) Fa how are you feeling?

[22:16] > (Ariya) I saw online that you came down with the flu 

[22:16] > (Ariya) Are you in Chiang Mai now? 

[22:16] > (Ariya) Do you have medicine?

Yeah I'm in Chiang Mai,  I'm feeling a lot better (Fa) < [22:25]

{Incoming call from Ariya}

Ariya: When are you free. Let's meet up for drinks, you left in such a hurry the other night. 

Fa: Finals are coming up so I'm quite busy.  And I don't think that will be appropriate anymore.  I'm happily in a relationship with someone I love dearly and since we're friends I wasn't considerate enough that night to distance myself even though I know you and I are platonic, but she doesn't know that. And so it's hurting her deeply.
