"What do you mean, he is taking her home?!?" Amaya said to Antonio trying to keep a low tone. They were pulled to the side from me as I sat patiently waiting at the bar. I was still messed up from tonight, I just wanted to shower and go home. I knew I was going to have a killer hangover when I woke up in the morning.

"Please Antonio don't let him take her please." Amaya whispered with pleading eyes. At this point I didn't have any idea what they were fussing about, I just wanted to go home. I looked at the empty ballroom, the green-eyed bandit who bumped into me earlier sat on the other side of the bar smoking his cigar. I guess he was waiting on them too.

"You know there is nothing I can do." Antonio finally said. He grinned, like he didn't have any concern about what Amaya was saying. "Inoltre, sai che il diavolo ottiene quello che vuole."

Amaya looked defeated by Antonio's words and then looked at me with guilt. She looked like she could burst out in tears at any moment, while I sat still confused as ever, at this point I think I could've easily made it home.

Amaya then came over to me and told me the man who I bumped into earlier was going to take me home.

Now I knew damn well he wasn't a bodyguard, he was dressed way too expensive compared to the other ones with the shades on. I was about to ask questions but Amaya stopped me.

"Just listen to him Mali." Amaya grabbed my hands looking into my eyes, sternly. Her hands weren't steady in mine, they were shaky. This was all making me feel concerned, I knew I should speak up but Amaya's warning look was telling me to just shut up and listen.

When we left the green eyed man held all the doors open for me, even the car door to his beautiful luxurious Bugatti La Voiture Noire, which I thought was funny. He was playing this 'bodyguard' role really well.

The car ride was silent, I couldn't help but take a few glances at the man while he drove. He had tattoos of dark ink that ran up his neck and arms. His jawline was sharp, he also had a light stubble which was shaped up. The man had an earthy aroma like sandalwood, I swore I could smell the scent everyday, it smelled seductive and comforting at the same time, like sweet cream with many warm undertones of amber and wood.

We then pulled up to a place that was not my apartment. I looked around only to see we were in the middle of nowhere. All you saw was conex boxes stacked on top of each other and a Cadillac Escalade that sat next to us. I turned to ask the man where we were but was stopped when he demanded that I stay put and got out of the car. A group of men then came out of the car next to us and walked with the man behind one of the conex boxes. I then heard pleas, loud pleas in Italian. It sounded like someone was crying out for help. It was a man's voice, who cried. I then heard scuffling, like someone was getting busy. I panicked, pulling out my phone to call the police but right when I was about to press the dial button but I heard three loud gunshots, making me drop my phone. I looked over horrified, there was a thick silence after that. No man crying and no sound of fighting.

I hurriedly grabbed all my belongings while I kept looking to see if anyone was coming. I was about to get the fuck out of here but when I tried opening the door it was locked. Right after the green eyed man came back with a horrifying sight.

Blood.

Blood drenched the man's hands, I couldn't help but look at it, they were all I saw right at the moment. I sat silent not knowing what to say next.

"Sorry amore, I'm not usually this… messy." His soothing deep voice said as he stated normally like the blood wasn't a concern. I then looked at his face seeing the sadistic look in his now darker green eyes.

"Please j-just take me home." I said, giving him a succinct response. My night turned from fun to crazy too fast and I had enough of it. My left leg shook up and down, I couldn't stop it from how much anxiety I was feeling, not knowing what was gonna happen next.

The green eyed man didn't give me a response, only smirking to himself sinfully as he stepped on the gas taking me home. Tomorrow I was gonna call Amaya and tell her to beware of the green eyed devil, he was involved in some fucked up mess.

*****

I could not believe my ears right now. After having a whole mental breakdown while I was on the phone with Amaya who I was telling about the man who took me home last night and our little 'trip' we had before actually taking me home. I ranted on and on about last night just for Amaya to tell me she knew.
She knew that she had let me in a car with a possible bloodthirsty killer and that was not the only part.

"Mali before I start I just want to apologize." Amaya started off, hearing the hurt in her voice. Now Amaya was crying way too much for my liking. Was she really happy in this new life?

"Mali that man… " Amaya then paused for a long moment, hesitantly. "People know him by the name il diavolo because Mali he literally is the fucking devil and I'm so sorry to tell you that you've got a long future of hell Infront of you."

"When I saw you in the store I was accompanied by my fiance and so it happened that he was there too. You caught his eyes at first glance, he couldn't stop staring at you, like he literally fell in love right in that moment… oh but he is a very bad man Mali, a notorious man, one that is impossible to stop."

"What do you mean Amaya, we can get the cops involved." I said to her, this was nonsense she was speaking, this man needed to be locked up asap no matter how fine he is.

"Mali you don't understand, my life changed when I moved from Philly with my mother to Chicago with my father, so much has happened, so much craziness I don't know how I get through it and now my father is marrying me to a man in the Mafia so we could keep the family business running."

Mafia!? I thought. What type of shit is Amaya in?

"Antonio can be a little crazy sometimes, I can't explain how scared I am to even speak to him wrong. He has shown me many times why I shouldn't be on his bad side. But Ezra D'Amore even I know is ten times worse than Antonio. He runs the Italian Mafia with his two brothers, who are known as monsters in the underground world. They have slaughtered many and trust me he is willing to slaughter many more for you MaIi. I knew I shouldn't have invited you to my party but I just wanted someone from home to give me those memories when my life was normal and happy. I thought we were careful, I thought he wouldn't see you. I know it was a very selfish move and I regret it so much, it is eating me up. I am so sorry Mali, I am so sorry for ruining your life but il diavolo is coming your way."

I did not know what to say to this. Was this some type of game? Some joke. I had so many questions but the answers seemed short and harsh. How can you just tell me since someone saw me they think they can just come snatch me up. Well Ezra got another thing coming his way.

"All I can tell you is try to stay away, maybe the thought of you will fade but I highly doubt it. Again I am so sorry. You might think it's a joke now but you just have to see for yourself." Amaya finished off.

Prepare.
