Ever since that night of Oogie Boogie's plan to take over Christmas and him meeting his defeat to Jack, things in Halloween world have been "quieter." Too quiet. So it seemed to Jack anyways. He felt ever closer to Sally after that night he saved her from being in a burning pit of lava, but somehow things haven't seemed right . . . He hadn't seen her in awhile; not since the day after Christmas.
The last time he saw her, she didn't seem herself. She seemed way more distant than usual.
What's wrong? Jack wanted to ask her. He wanted to talk to her of so many things but he never got the chance with all the excitement of the new found holiday called "Christmas." Everyone surrounded him and praised him for it, although he wasn't fond of all the attention. He mainly did it for Sally, but of course no one else knew that.
The other group of people he hadn't seen a good while were those three trick or treaters. As much of a relief it was with them gone, it also worried him knowing they were part of Oogie Boogie man's scheme.
All these thoughts flooded his mind and he took a walk to the cemetery of the town [Jacks thinking place].
