Chapter 12

The gang flew back to the ship and surprised the sailors.

"Vultures! It's the vultures!" Mr Frico shouted.

"Well, get them off my ship!" Mr Trent ordered.

"Gladly" said Mr Viti. 

"You guys turn the ship around. Shiny and I will get the treasure back" said Sam.

"Right!" said the vultures in unison.

"What do we do, Miss?" said Shiny.

"I got this. Just grab the treasure" said Sam.

She drew her dagger and pointed it at Mr Trent.

"You dare to fight the captain, do you?" said Mr Trent.

"Only until I get that treasure" said Sam.

"Ha! Well! This should be fun" said Mr Trent. 

Buzzy and Ziggy were running from Mr Viti in an attempt to turn the boat around.

"Ziggy! The spyglass" said Buzzy.

"Brilliant!" said Ziggy with pep. 

He flew up and bent a sunbeam, which reflected off the spyglass and scorched Mr Viti, making him jump overboard.

"Man overboard!" said Mr Frico.

Then Ziggy did the same to Mr Trent so he'd back away from the wheel.

Dizzy spun around creating a whirlwind that blew the ship in the other direction.

"Blast it! They turned the ship around!" Mr Trent shouted.

"Yes indeed we did" said Shiny. 

Dizzy was teasing Mr Frico who was throwing swords at him.

"Vultures, vultures, nothing but vultures! Stop moving so fast!" Mr Frico yelled.

Dizzy stopped near a rope and said "Just one more, mister."

Mr Frico took the challenge and his thrown sword cut the rope, making a bunch of barrels fall on him. 

Dizzy put the man's unconscious body in a lifeboat and said, "Bon voyage, sailor."

Flaps was riding the baby crocodile to fend of Mr Graty.

"Avast, Crocky! Charge!" Flaps ordered.

"Get it away, get it away, get it away! Get it away!" Mr Graty yelled.

As soon as he had him cornered, Flaps got off and said to the crocodile, "Get him!"

The croc bit Mr Graty's foot and made him jump overboard. 

"Oh, that's my Crocky" Flaps cooed. 

Buzzy dropped the ship's anchor into the sea and grew some seaweed to hold it. 

Finally, Sam high-kicked Mr Trent's nose and he fell overboard. 

Shiny was finally able to retrieve the treasure.

"You're a really good fighter, Miss. I never expected a human to know what this treasure is meant to be" said Shiny.

"I've known the legend for a long time, sweetie. I never destroy legends. Unless they're villainous of course" said Sam.

Shiny laughed then hugged the girl. 

"We got the treasure!" Buzzy cheered.

"We can go home" said Flaps.

"Oh, I'm gonna soak in a steamy Black Pool bath. Get the smell of sailors off me" said Dizzy.

Shiny handed them the treasure and said, "Please. Take this back to the Cold Lair."

She was about to leave, but Ziggy stopped her.

"Shiny. We didn't just come for the treasure" he said.

"You didn't?" said Shiny.

"Of course not. We came for you. That's why we saved you" said Ziggy.

Shiny broke out happy crying then kissed Ziggy on the beak. 

"I'm coming with you! All of you!" she sobbed.

"Fab! Let's get outta here" said Sam.

Even after all that, Ziggy still felt bad for accidentally burning Flaps's hair. 

"Uh... Flaps? There's something you should know. It's about... your hair" Ziggy confessed.

Flaps felt the back of his head and noticed the strand that was burnt off.

"Blimey! First I'm forced to wear a magic apron, then I become a father! I pranced in a stinky shoe, and now my hair?!" he sobbed.
