"Break po muna."

Mula sa pagtulong sa pagsasalansan ng mga food packs ay napahinto ako at napatingin sa babaeng nag-aabot sakin ng pagkain na nakalagay sa paperbox. May kasama na din iyon na disposable spoon and fork. Saka bote ng tubig.

Marahil ay napansin nito yung pag aalinlangan ko na kunin iyon dito kaya tinaasan pa ako nito ng kilay at ininguso yung hawak.

"Breakfast po." Ulit nito na inangat pa yung hawak para mapilitan akong kunin iyon mula dito.

Pagkaabot ko niyon mula dito ay tunalikod na ito ulit at saka ipinagpatuloy yung pagdidistribute ng pagkain sa mga volunteers.

I stared blankly on the food I'm holding.

Dama ko yung bahagyang pagkalam ng sikmura ko. Noon ko lang naalala na kahapon pa ng bandang hapon yung huling kain ko. And the idea of eating this food is really enticing.

"Tara, Miss Akira! Kain muna tayo don o! May sandwich at kape din don." Yakag pa sakin ng kasama kong nagpapack kanina lang.

Alanganin naman akong napangiti. Hindi ko nga alam kung ngiti ba iyon o ngiwi na.

Ang totoo, kahit nagugutom man ako, hindi ko yata kayang kainin iyon. Not because mapili ako sa pagkain o anuman. Hindi lang talaga ako sanay na kumakain ng may kasama.

Maybe that's one habit that I ought to kill and let to die.

But thinking how Payne left again for Kaylee, I felt the bitter taste on my mouth.

It's still better not to get too associated with people. They'll leave you once you're already comfortable in having them around. Things will always be the same for them, but not for you.

"Uhm.." napadiin yung hawak ko sa paperbox ng pagkain. "Dito na lang ako sa gilid. Masyado ng madaming tao don."

The woman glanced back at the table she's pointing kanina. Madami na nga ang nandoon. Lahat halos kasi ng volunteer ay kumukuha din ng kape at sandwich nga doon.

Akmang magsasalita pa ito nang mayroon ng sumisigaw na mga iba pang volunteers na tinatawag yung pangalan nito. Siguro mga kaclose nito iyon dahil palagi na din siguro silang nagkakasama sa mga outreach program na ginagawa ni Elise.

"Hey, It's fine. I'll be fine here." I assured her.

Ngumiti ito bago tumango. "Sige. Pero if may gusto ka, punta ka lang doon ha?"

Hindi ako sumagot. Naagaw kasi yung pansin ko ng babaeng dumaan sa likod ko.

Her scent is lingering all over my zone kaya naman hindi ko mapigilan yung mapalingon dito.

My eyes are caught fixated to the woman who is wearing a simple cartoon-printed Tees and baggy sweatpants. Her hair which was tied in a ponytail is obviously in disarray. May iilang hibla pa nga yung tumatabing na sa gilid ng pawisan nitong mukha. Yet, she still looks so undeniably attractive.

Maybe it's her eyes that's always burning and glinting with passion. It tells more about her character. Strong-willed. Determined. Brave.

She can fight you with the flick of her fingers if you give her the tool to put her mind on her words. Or you can opt to just let her rant and be swayed with how incredible her thoughts are. Probably not just her thoughts. Probably it's also on her expressive face that shows her emotions. It's the most adorable part to look at.

You can easily spot if she's annoyed when her eyes are already glinting to eat you alive. Or how she chewed her lips absent-mindedly when she's guilty. Or how she simply avoid someone's stares if she can't lie. Or at how she scratches her nape if she's uncomfortable with the conversation or someone's presence.
