As the sun cast its delicate light across the horizon, a mere individual stood before it, basking in its beautiful warmth. He took a deep breath and sighed, the sunlight's energy overflowing his insides with life. At peace, he felt his body shift, seven glowing tails with golden streaks coming out from behind. Fox ears with rose gold fur popped on top of his head.

"A Hunter could see you, Sun."

The individual glanced to the side, sending his friend from behind. He snorted.

"I doubt it. You would kill them in a millisecond."

"I am your protector after all."

Sunoo scoffed and whacked the back of his friend's head. "Yah! That hurt."

"Stop acting so self-righteous. I can defend myself, you know."

"As someone who's been by your side since you were 12, I've never doubted your abilities."

"What's with all the sappy words? This is so unlike you."

Haechan shrugged his shoulders. "Spur of the moment. Come on, the others are saddling up their horses." Then he walked away. Sunoo stood there, watching his friend join the others at a stable not too far away. His eyes lingered on each of the council members, their bright smiles engraved in his memories. Turning back, he stared at the sunrise once again, treasuring the beautiful view of the sky's pink and purple streaks, the wind's quiet murmurs, the rustling of trees, and the powerful light glare from the sun.

Sunoo realized once again that his name is extremely befitting to his powers in an odd way. Locking the moment into his brain, he strolled over to the others, where Heeseung was going over the plan once again.

"Alright, guys. The closest location is Sunoo's as his object resides on Mount Inari, where it is being guarded by Yeounui, the Fox Sister. We head east, following the Ryul River, a stream leading into the mountain. It'll take us around two days to get there."

With their supplies packed and their horses fed, the five of them settled onto their designated rides while Jake burst open his wings. Haechan spoke privately to Sunoo and handed him something. The gumiho pursed his lips and nodded.

"Good luck," Jun smiled sadly.

"I wish we can be by your side but the fate of the world is up to you guys now," Aisha recited.

"Wow, noona. Thanks so much for reminding us about that," Riki deadpanned.

"Of course, whenever you need us, mind-link does exist," Minjeong added.
