"C'mon Pav, your here to support me, remember? Your best friend?" Gwen said, walking next to her best friend and companion, Pavitr Prabhakar.

"Im starting to regret picking you as my best friend." Pavitr responded in a sarcastic tone, rolling his eyes.

"Pav, you agreed to this! You had a full opportunity to refuse!"

"You begged me for months!!"

"Yea but you still could've refused"

"I- im not even going to dignify that with a response."

"Rude."

Gwen and Pavitr looked up at their new school. Gwen had convinced Pav to join the college she was moving to. She'd moved to meet up with her online boyfriend, Miles. Gwen then spotted a familiar figure walking towards
them, and she rushed forward to meet him.

Pavitr saw the two as they hugged and began to talk, deciding to walk off to find his way to class. As he walked, he thought about Gwen and her relationship with Miles. He dearly wished for a relationship like that. He hadn't dated anyone since his distant ex Gayatri. He'd loved her, a lot, but she'd broken up with him a while back because her mental health couldn't handle a relationship after her father, Inspecor Singh, had died in a building collapse back in their home, Mumbattan.

After walking for a while, Pavitr realised he'd been looking at his old timetable, and realised Gwen had his new planner. He had no idea where he was going.

Crap.

As Pav quickly searched his phone for his digital copy, frantically roaming the hallways as he searched though his emails. Eventually, he ran into a teacher who reprimanded him lightly and redirected him to his class.

As Pavitr reluctantly walked into his classroom, 20 minutes late, the teacher halted her lecture and silently stared at Pavitr for a moment before speaking

"What is your name, young man?"

"My name is Pavitr Prabhakar, ma'am. My sincerest apologies for my lateness, Im new here and i didn't know where to go."

"20 minutes after class, now sit."

How annoying- Pavitr had a detention.

He sat down and pulled his books out, taking notes for the next hour before class was over and wouldn't you know, there was a free period.

Pavitr stayed behind along with a few others while most people walked out. However, a few people walked in, probably also to serve detentions.

Pav's mind began to wander back to Gayatri, and the sadness he felt at losing her. He really did hipe he'd get to experience love like that once again, to experience

Pavitr was lost in thought so he didnt see the man sat at the table next to him. Soon he noticed a note on his table, and in a scribbled handwriting, a note of red ink read..

You aight there mate?

Pav was confused as he looked around for the author of the strange note before he finally noticed the man adjacent to him.

Oh my..

This man was absolutely stunning in Pav's eyes. His many piercings glistening in the light, beautiful dark skin and a sleevelessleather jacket atop a short sleeve shirt, showing off his muscular arms. He wore platform boots with multicolour laces, ripped jeans and was adorned with badges and patches.

Pavitr snapped back to reality and realised that not only had he been staring, but the other man was staring straight back. Pav immidietly felt his face heat up in embarrassment as he looked away, back down at the note before replying in his neat, blue handwriting pen.

Yes, im alright.

Hobie was too busy admiring the shorter man next to him to notice the note on his desk, instead opting to continue staring at others gorgeous hair, perfect yet looking entirely untouched by human hands. He wore a semi tucked-in white shirt with a small golden chain necklace to match the golden buttons. He also wore black vans and light blue jeans with small rips at the knees.

To others he may not seem like much but to Hobie? To Hobie he was the most breathtaking person he'd ever set eyes on. Hobie eventually dragged his eyes away from the radiant man next to him and looked down at the note, before another landed on his desk. He grabbed it and opened it to read

Who are you?

Hobie grabbed another piece of paper and began to scrawl his response

Wouldn't you like to know?

Pavitr saw the note land on his desk and read it, struggling to think of an answer.

Yes?

It may not have been the best, but i was an answer regardless.

"Pavitr Prabhakar! Times up, off you go."

"Oh! Alright! Thank you Ma'am."

Pavitr, hearing his name called, got up and walked out of the door, glancing back at the man who had sat next to him, smiling and waving as he walked away. Hobie smirked back at him, raising his hand in a low effort wave.

As soon as Pav was out of sight, Hobie looked down, smirk never leaving his face, at the note he'd been able to recieve.

It had his phone number on it, printed in neat blue pen

As Pavitr walked away, he looked down into his hand, overjoyed at the last note he'd managed to get from the taller.

It had his phone number on it, scrawled in messy red pen.

As they parted ways, they thought of one another and, despite not knowing their futures, they were confident they would meet again

Someday.
