A long sigh left your mouth.

You were lying down in bed. Boxes scattered around the room. Your desk cluttered with all sorts of things that didn't belong on it.

The last few days had been quite exhausting. You flew over from California to Chicago for college, and then you had to take all your stuff with you to your new dorm. If that wasn't enough, you had no idea who your roommate would be, so the minutes of waiting to meet her were terrible.

Fortunately, the girl was great. Very chill, very lowkey. You were sure that she wasn't going to bother you.

Your new roommate, Sophie, was gone for the night, partying or something. You didn't mind though, feeling as if you needed some alone time anyway.

As you were scrolling trough TikTok, you heard a knock on the door. Thinking it was Sophie, you swung the door open.

Only to find out that it wasn't your roommate at the door, it was a random raven haired girl.

"Uhm hi?" you spoke, not sure of why she was here.

"Oh shit, I'm pretty sure I'm at the wrong dorm." She said, a hint off embarrassment hidden in her voice.

You couldn't help but notice how good she looked.

"Oh, it's okay don't worry."

"I'm really still getting used to the new surroundings." She said laughing. Her smile was so beautiful, so contagious. When you saw her smile, you couldn't help but smile yourself.

"No I get that, me too. I'm pretty sure everyone is!" you said trying to comfort her.

She didn't respond immediately, as she was lost in you gaze. Without noticing, a few seconds of complete silence had passed by.

You took notice of what was happening and quickly spoke up. "So uhmm... do you know where your dorm is though? I don't want you knocking on the wrong door twice!"

She laughed again. Argh, that smile.

"No I've got this. If I'm right, than that's it." She said pointing to the door next to yours

"looks like were neighbours then" you said winking.

A blush crept up the woman's neck.

"Yeah, well I'm going to go now, neighbour" she said, waving as she did so.

"alright, bye!"

You closed the door, not moving, standing in the same position as you were in before you closed it.

God that girl was pretty, and you totally forgot to ask her name.

Hopefully you and her would cross paths again soon.

...

You were studying in the library, headphones on so that nobody would disturb you.

The music filled your ears, as your foot tapped along to the rhythm of the song.

You were so concentrated on your work and the music, that you hadn't noticed someone sitting down on the opposite side of the table.

When you noticed something moving in the corner of your eye, your eyes shot up, meeting the same brown eyes from earlier.
