That street was the worst to walk on at that time of night.

Aidan had to work night shift so he couldn't drop me off home after dinner.

There was barely anyone walking around and the light was actually too dim.

But ,I was almost home.

Only, I heard something that caught my attention.

It seemed like someone was struggling, almost like he was trying to scream though his voice was held back.

The reasonable thing was to run,but I moved into the direction of the sound.

And at the end of the street I saw something. Something I should not have seen.

In one of the darkened alleys I saw a man, tied down onto a chair with his mouth gagged up with some cloth.

That wasn't all.

Although I couldn't see his face from where I stood,I saw someone else,it looked like a man.

He stood tall in front of the tied down man.He had something in his hand.

It looked like red hot iron. And I could see he was putting it onto the man's skin.

"You should never have gone behind my back,Julio. Now see what you made me do."

His voice, was deep and husky. And his tone was mocking.
He laughed as he inflicted pain on the man.

How could someone be so heartless!!

Suddenly, I heard the sound of cocking of the gun.

How did I know ?I had heard the sound from the action movies I usually watched.

Was he going to kill the man?

Any last words? The man asked as he placed the gun onto Julio's head.

He tried to plead but nothing was done.

Before he could do anything to the man,I hit something. And it made a loud noise which alarmed the man that someone was watching him.

"Who the fuck is there?" He asked as he slowly made his way to where I was standing.

It was time to run.

I had to run else I would be killed by this man.

I ran without looking back but I could sense someone behind me.

I was doomed. Very much.
I didn't think twice before entering my building.

That was a wrong move.

But I had to look on the bright side. There were numerous houses in this building. He could not find me.

But as the elevator doors closed on me,I caught a glimpse of him.

I hoped he didn't see my face, but  I knew my chances were slim.

Shit.
