As I slowly regain consciousness, I feel a hazy fog lift from my mind. My eyes flutter open, and I find myself lying in a hospital bed, the sterile scent of antiseptic filling the air. Dahan dahan ko kinapa ang tiyan ko, nanginginig pa ito ng malaman ko wala na itong laman, devoid of the weight it had carried for the past nine months.

Then, I hear a soft voice, a gentle murmur that pierces through the haze. "She's waking up! Tita, she's awake!" The voice belongs to my sister, Raica.

I turn my head towards the sound, my vision blurry, and see my family gathered around me. Tita, with tears in her eyes, and my sister, Raica, trying to hold back her emotions. Napangiti na lamang akong mapait.

Buhay ako.

I guess hindi ko pa oras.

Habang pinagmamasdan sila may kulang.

"Si Sunny? And...how's my babies? Ligtas ba silang lahat? Rai? Tita?" Nag-alala kong sabi.

Tita Carol, leans in close, her face lined with worry. "Darling, you're awake," she whispers, her voice filled with relief. "You did it. You gave birth to your babies, a boys, and a girl. They're perfect." She brushes a strand of hair away from my face, her touch reassuring and tender.

Tumango ako at napangiti."That's good to hear po. P-pero..nasan si Sol? She's just here beside me ng mawalan ako ng malay."

Nakita ko pano magbago ang expression nila. Nagkatitigan ang dalawa. They're talking by their eyes. It's weird. Something is wrong. Kinabahan ako bigla.

"She just left..."

Napakunot ang noo ko sa sinabi ni Raica.

"Saan pumunta?"

Ngayon si Tita napabuntong hininga at si Raica naman ay pilit na ngumiti. Mukhang nag-iisip pa sila kung sino maauna o ano ang sasabihin sakin dahil natahimik na naman ang dalawa.

"Sabihin niyo please...wala naman nangyari masama diba?"

"Thalia you need to rest muna–"

"No tita. I need to know where's Sunny—"

Mabilis akong pinutol ni Raica."She's having a trouble-with her family, Thalia."

I was shocked when I heard that. Umawang lang ang labi ko walang lumabas na salita. Nagpatuloy si Raica sa pagsasalita.

"Her mother was here in Spain right now. Galing vegas. She..she found out about you and Sunny." Ani nito at lumapit sakin. She sat on my bed and held my hand."Thalia..why you hide it? Why you lied? Why..you didn't tell me that Sunny is the...mother of your babies?" She added and it makes me speechless.

"Ano'ng pinagsasabi niyo? Hindi ko alam–"

"Stop denying Thalia. We all know now. Her mother came and now they're planning to what to do with you both,"

Gulong gulo ako. Kahit na nanghihina ako ay nagawa ko parin gumalaw upang umupo. Inalalayan ako ni Tita at Rai. Sumandal ako sa Headboard ng kama na tulala sa kawalan.

Sunny? Me? Mother? How come??

Sabay sabay kaming napabaling sa may pinto dahil bigla ito bumukas. Una pumasok si Tita...Lydia Sunny and Evelyn mother. Kasunod niya si Sunny. Pareho silang nagmamadali at mukhang nagkaka-initan pa ang dalawa pag pasok.

"She's awake! Oh, thank goodness!" It's Tita Lyd. Her voice trembles with a mixture of excitement and anxiety.

She rushes towards me, her eyes filled with urgency and longing. She clasps her hands together, a plea evident in her voice. Samantalang napatitig naman sakin si Sunny. Hindi ko mabasa ang iniisip niya pero parang problemado siya ngayon.
