Finding Myself - A New Beginning

Hyperactive Vampire

"SANG... SANG, SANG, SANG..." Gabe was being annoying, he hasn't shut up since he turned, and most of the guys had fled to get away from him.

"What Gabe?" I asked in exasperation.

"What you doing?" I sighed and looked over at him who was zooming from one side of the kitchen to the other and back.

"Being annoyed by a hyperactive vampire, what are you doing?"

He laughed at me and skidded to a stop. "I'm seeing how fast I can run, but there isn't enough room, can we go for a run out side? How fast can we run?"

I shake my head at him, he has been asking to go outside for hours now but I wont let him. "No, I told you not yet, maybe tomorrow night."

"Sang?"

"Gabriel?"

"I'm bored."

"Well go do something."

"I don't know what to do."

"And that's my problem because."

I could hear laughing behind me and saw most of the guys watching from the lounge room.

"Don't laugh, because I'm pretty sure you are all going to be the same." I shudder at the thought. I may have to change two at a time next time so I can get this over and done with faster, the next couple of weeks are going to be fun...not.

"Sang?"

I turn back to Gabe and he is leaning over the table at me. "Yes Gabe."

"I'm hungry."

"Seriously, you haven't stopped eating. Do you want some more blood?"

He thinks about it for a second and then nods.

"Who wants to feed the baby vampire and get him to shut up for two seconds?" I watch as Victor get up and walks into the kitchen.

"I'll do it, if it gets him to shut up." I smile and nod at him and go back to my book that I have been trying to read, not succeeding very well though.

I watch out of the corner of my eye as Gabe bites into Victor's wrist and starts drinking. I watch as Victor starts squirming in his seat and try not to smile.

Gabe pulls back a couple of minutes later and licks Victor's wrist and closes him eyes. Thank god, time for a nap.

"Come on, lets put you to bed." He gets up and grabs me around the waist pulling me into him.

"Are you coming with me trouble?" he says with a smile.

"You are having a nap, nothing more."

He pouts, "You are a party popper Sang."

"You'll live."

"Nope, I'm dead, you killed me remember."

"Yep and lets not make it permanent shall we."

He jumps back shocked, "you want to kill me."

"Already did, remember."

"Oh, yeah. Fucking forgot about that. Hey can I do the next one, see if I can do it?"

"Nope."

"Please."

"Nah ah."

"Ah huh."

"Gabe."

"Trouble."

"Do not make me snap your neck again."

"Ohh, I'm so scared." With that he ran up the stairs giggling all the way, with a shake of my head I follow him.

I settle him down in bed and he is out like a light. I wait a couple of minutes and then head back down stairs to the guys.

I sag in the chair and close my eyes for a second.

"Having fun Sang?" I look up to see all of them looking at me.

"He is like a two year old on speed, so yeah, lots of fun." They all laugh at me nodding their head in agreement.

"Is he going to be like this for long, cause I don't know if I can handle a hyperactive Gabe for long?" asks Kota.

"Lets all pray to all human and Vampire god that his not, but all seriousness, not really maybe a day or two. He will be up and down for a few days, lets just hope he stays the fun Gabe and not turn all vampire on us all."

"Yeah, cause the fun Gabe is so fun to watch, the possessive one is kind of scary." Luke says shuddering.

I laugh at him thinking the same thing, "it wont last long, he will stop being like that and go back to his original self...I hope." I look at them and asked the question of the hour, "so who am I to turn next, I know Mr Blackbourne wants to change are you up for it next? Also I think I need to change two at a time otherwise this is going to take to long."

"Are you going to be able to handle two at a time?" asks Sean.

"Yeah with Gabe there to help me it should be fine. The more we have changed the more I can turn. The only problem is when we get to the last person to change I will need to get some human blood cause there wont be any left here." I wonder if the blood bags would do it.

"Would blood bags work?" I smile at Victor for reading my mind.

"I was just thinking the same thing." I look over at Sean and smile my sweet and innocent smile.

He shakes his head laughing at me. "Ok, I'll look into it, would blood bags work for all of us?"

I nod but stop and shake my head. "It would work but you guys would have two drink at least one or two bags a day, with nine of you that's up to eighteen bags a day. I'll teach you to hunt; it's a lot easier and doesn't draw a lot of attention to us."

"I don't know about hunting people Sang." Says Kota.

"If it was just one or two of you doing it, it should be fine to drink out of blood bags, but you will need to learn to drink from a human so you know when to stop. I'll be taking out Gabriel tomorrow so he can learn. Have you all watched the video yet?"

The all shake their head no. Mr Blackbourne get's up and retrieves it and plugs it into the TV. "Joy, surround sound." I say, and they all laugh at me.

I curl into myself and watch everyone else's reaction instead of the TV, I want to know who has the biggest problem with it and I have a feeling that Kota is going to be the worst.

I was right everyone sort of flinched or threw out a swear word or two but Kota just looked sick.

"Kota, you don't have to do this, you know that right?" He looks over at me and nods.

"I know, its just hard to see and to think that with be done to us, and by you."
I try and lighten the mood a bit with a joke, "if it help any, Gabe said he would love to have a go at it." I say laughing; everyone just shakes their head no.

"I don't think I want him doing that, he may do it wrong and make it more painful, yeah no I'll stick with the adult vampire around here."

"That's ok, I already told him if he tried it at all I would snap his neck again." They all looked at me in shock making me crack up laughing, "I was joking, you should all see your faces, plus it can't kill you, only a stake threw the heart, fire or beheading or all three together can kill us. Except for the really old vampires, stacking them just slows them down so all three is the way to go with them."

"You worry me some time Peanut." I smile at him and get up.

"Were you going aggele mou?" asks Silas

"Just to check on the child, you keep watching the rest, and figure out who else wants to turn next."

With that I leave them to work out the details and if they want to change at all.
