The water trickles down my blouse,
really wish I had an umbrella right now,
people storm by profusely without raising an eyebrow.
This strife city is flooded with neon lights,
even on the darkest nights
it's full of life,
yet I still feel alone.
I'm just a woman unknown,
worn down to the bone,
all I ever wanted was
a place I can call home.
