I feel so close yet so far,
but I know soon we'll write our memoir
and it'll be smooth like suede;
as mythical as a mermaid.
I'll wait until the stars fade,
multiple decades,
our journey will be
my first aid,
better than anything I could ever imagine.
Whatever happens,
I know it'll be a lovely cascade of passion.
