Aurora turned back to him. Then, she took his hands.
And she did something he didn't expect.
She released one of his hands. Moved that hand to his chin. Slowly brought his chin forward.
And then......
She kissed him, through his bandages.
Obanai's heart jumped. Then, he kisses back. Through the bandages.
Obanai didn't know what to do.
He'd never kissed anyone before.
Ever.
Not knowing what to do, he pulled back.
Aurora looked broken.
The man she liked had just pulled away from her.
Like everyone has.
He noticed she was breathing heavily.
She backed up.
"Aurora, I........" He didn't know what to say.
"N-no," she stuttered. "I understand."
Was that.....antlers growing out of her head?!
She didn't seem to notice.
She turned
And she walked away.
Devastated that he pulled away from her.
