Chapter 54

Andy and Robert were really very happy, they wanted to reveal the twins' gender to everyone right away, but they had decided to organize something special and therefore they had to be able to not tell anyone anything. To help them organize that party, Andy and Robert had asked their mothers for help since they were the only ones, besides them, who knew the gender of the twins.

Andy: "I was thinking about something" she said as she lay down on the couch next to her husband.

Robert: "What were you thinking about?" he responded by placing his hands on her belly so he could pet her.

Andy: "This weekend, could we just sit here at home by ourselves and start preparing the nursery? I know it's still early, but I would like to do it now before I can't do anything anymore"

Robert: "Ok, we can do whatever you want, but only if you promise me one thing"

Andy: "What?"

Robert: "You have to promise me that you won't get tired and that you will take many breaks so you don't get tired"

Andy: "I promise" she replied placing her hands on top of her husband's. "Tomorrow evening my mother and your mother will come to dinner so we can give them ideas for the party"

Robert: "They cook dinner, right?"

Andy: "Yeah. I've already told both of us that we'll be going home late so when we get there, we'll find dinner ready"

Robert: "That's one of the benefits of giving them the keys to our house" they both had a small laugh.

Andy: "And who is the other one?"

Robert: "That they can come here at any time of day to check on Lilli" Andy nodded and Lilli joined them on the sofa.

Andy: "Lilli loves to put her face on my belly"

Robert: "She is a very sweet puppy even if she often makes trouble" Andy laughed. "I'll prepare lunch soon and then we'll go to the station, okay?" Andy nodded.

Andy: "When Chloe and Thomas get out of school and Noah out of day care, Emily will drive them to the station for a bit. It's been a few days already and I miss seeing them"

Robert: "They live next door, you can go to them whenever you want"

Andy: "I know, but I'm afraid of disturbing if I go to them"

Robert: "You never disturb" he replied giving her a kiss on the cheek. "But if they come to the station today, we have to get something so they can have a snack"

Andy: "And there's also my candies to buy, they're finished"

Robert: "Okay. Before going to the station, we go to the supermarket to pick up everything"

After they'd snuggled up on the sofa for a while longer, Robert went to prepare lunch while Andy packed their things because the shift that was starting soon was going to be a twenty-four-hour shift. During lunch, Lilli stayed close to Andy and Robert and then they, before leaving the house, cuddled the puppy for a few minutes and then left the house. Before arriving at the station, they stopped at the supermarket to get candy for Andy and something for a snack for their nephews. Once they arrived at the station, they changed and then joined the rest of the team.

Vic: "So.. can you tell us the gender of the twins?" she asked curiously.

Andy: "No. You'll have to wait a little longer"

Travis: "It's not fair. We bet and then we're all curious" they all laughed.

Andy: "I'm sorry Travis, but you'll all have to wait for next weekend. With the help of my mother and with the help of Eleonor, we are organizing a small party at our house"
