"What happened?" Kai asked as we arrived in the outskirts of New Ninjago City. The whole place was abandoned, not a soul in sight. I thought it looked like a ghost town, but I felt like I shouldn't say that out loud.

"No power, that's what happened." Cole stated, and well, he was right. The sight might have been unnerving for some, but thankfully I wasn't afraid of ghost. I was afraid of people. There were piles of cars on the sides of the streets, and powered out security bots laid in every direction I looked at.

"Are we too late?" Zane questioned as we walked along. Suddenly one of the ninja stepped on something that seemed to be a trip wire, and the piled up cars on the sides all fell down to form a roadblock. Suddenly a wave of people all climbed on top of it and let out battle cries as they eyed us. Feeling anxious, I backed away behind the ninja, before standing still right behind Kai.

"Outsiders must answer to the Postman!" Some random guy shouted and pointed to the side, where a postman was indeed leaning against the wall.

"Return, to, sender!" The Postman yelled as another man climbed, or rather, rolled up the mountain on his wheelchair.

"Ah, you finally made it. Don't mind the savages. Since power went out, everyone here has grown a bit bored. Their imagination knows no bounds." The man was about to continue when he noticed P.I.X.A.L and Nya approach us.

"P.I.X.A.L., amazing! You're...powered." The man was more than amazed, from what I could tell.

"You need to stay in character, Borg. This is no fun if we're not all committed." The Postman called from further away as the man grumbled. If this man know P.I.X.A.L... This must be Cyrus Borg! Her creator, I heard the ninja talk about him a few times.

"Oh, I'll have you committed if you don't all leave us at once. Now shoo!" Cyrus Borg shooed the people away as I let out a sigh of relief and finally stepped out from behind Kai.

"We have real problems to address. P.I.X.A.L., what's powering you?" His face lit up as P.I.X.A.L walked to his side.

"Zane gave me half of his heart." P.I.X.A.L. explained as Cyrus's eyes lit up.

"Thank you, Zane. I am greatly indebted. Unfortunately, the hard drive was stolen with the digital imprint of the Overlord. You'll be unable to erase him with your Techno Blades until we find it." Cyrus said with a tint of regret in his voice.

"Aw, don't worry, we already had a little run in with the red-handed suspect. Or, should I say white-handed? He left behind a white scale. Get this, he's Serpentine!" Jay blabbered as he showed Cyrus the white scale we found.

"Lucky for us, the last Serpentine were sealed within a right under the city, so it's about time we pay them a little visit." Cole stated as  he looked around then started walking towards the closest man hole to us, I turned to follow him when Cyrus spoke up again.

"And who would you be?" I knew he was talking to me, so I slowly turned around and opened my mouth to answer him.

"I-I'm o-one of... My name i-is-" But I couldn't handle talking to new people. Especially if this was the world renewed master inventor Cyrus Borg. What if I made a fool of myself, what if I offended him somehow, what if... Maybe I'll just bow and-

"This is (y/n), he is one of Sensei Garmadon's students and has offered to help us in destroying the Overlord." Nya suddenly said as she walked up to us.

"He's a little shy." Nya added as I nodded along. Cyrus Borg smiled ad gave me a small greeting before turning to P.I.X.A.L.

"T-thank you..." I thanked Nya as she smiled at me.

"No problem!"Nya said as we walked to the now open man hole. I offered for Nya to go first, but Jay quickly rushed me to go before her, so I ended up going in first.

"Approach with caution. I've also lost a few valuable prototypes. He may be armed and extremely dangerous." I heard Cyrus Borg say the others entered the man hole one by one.

"We know, and uh, ahem, just for the record, when those prototypes are made available to the public, could you let me know? They're just the coolest gadgets." Jay said back. It seems he really loved Cyrus Borg's inventions. I heard Cyrus Borg continued, but I couldn't hear exactly what he said anymore, only that Zane was the last to enter, and P.I.X.A.L didn't come with us. Poor Zane. I climbed a little faster, skipping over a piece of the ladder every now and then until I was on the bottom of the sewer. I looked up and waited for the others to come down.

"Watch your step, Nya. We don't know the last time this ladder was used." Cole told Nya. They were still halfway up the ladder.

"Aww, That's thoughtful of you, Cole." Nya said, probably a smile on her face.

"Hey! How about you watch where you're watching, Cole? Huh?" Jay was quick to start arguing with Cole the second Nya said anything good about him. I sighed and decided to ignore it, when suddenly a loud clank sounded, and a few pieces of the ladder fell down right next to my feet. I looked towards them to see a few pieces of the ladder had fallen off from right beneath Nya, leaving her hanging in the air.

"Aah! Uh, guys. A little help?" Nya asked, but it was like the two couldn't hear her.

"J-Jump. I'll catch you!" I called as I positioned myself under her, ready to catch her if she either jumped or fell.

"You're sure?" She called down to me as I nodded.

"I'm s-sure. I promise to catch you...!" I called again as she turned her head just a little to look down at me.

"You don't sound so sure!" Before she could say anything more, the ladder part she was holding to broke, and she fell towards me.

"Aah!" I held out my hands, and... caught her, as I promised. Heh, I did it. Nya had her eyes closed, but realizing she hadn't fallen on solid ground, she blinked them open before sighing in relief. I let her down as she thanked me. Cole and Jay had apparently noticed what had happened, and they jumped down as Nya scoffed at them.

"My knights in shining armor." She said sarcastically and crossed her arms as the black and blue ninja pointed the blame at each other.

"It was his fault!" The two shouted the same thing at the same time and pointed at each other.

"It was the old ladders fault... You two don't have to fight about every little thing." I tried to reason with them, but they just turned to me with glares on their faces

"Who says?" The two suddenly spoke at the same time.

"...No one." I mumbled as Zane and Kai finally came down the ladder.

"Let's keep our eyes peeled. Our mystery suspect could be anywhere down here." Zane said as he started leading the way deep into the sewers.

"Serpentine. Never thought I'd see them again." Kai stated as the rest of us followed him. My sense of smell wasn't liking the stench of rotten left overs and mud mixed in with all the other wastes here, but I had yet again brought this upon myself, I just had to suck it up and deal with it.

"I have never seen a Serpentine before... I've only seen them in photos and drawings before." I said to Nya, but knowing we were walking in a group in the silent sewers, everyone must have heard me.
