III. Meeting Hagrid
That stormy night, a tall house, on a rock island somewhere out at sea. The Dursleys, including Annie have moved there, due to the chaos with the letters. The family is sleeping, with Annie on the cold, dirt floor and Dudley sleeping on a sofa. Annie has drawn a birthday cake which reads, Happy Birthday Annie. She looks at Dudley's watch, which beeps 12:00.
"Okay that just sad" comments Peter with a scoff, despite saying that they don't blame anyone Annie couldn't help the glare she sent his way, a glare that didn't go unnoticed by a lot of students
"Wormtail!" Glared James at said boy
"What is wrong with you!" hissed Lily
Annie: [to herself] Make a wish, Annie. [she blows the "candles" on the drawn birthday cake]
Suddenly, the door thumps, in sync with the thunder flashing. Annie jumps. The door thumps again and Dudley and Annie jump up and back away. She hides herself behind a wall, and Dudley cowers on a windowsill. Petunia and Vernon appear, while holding a double barrel gun.
Vernon: Who's there?! Ahh!
The door bangs again and then falls down, and a giant man appears. As he comes into the clear lighting, the giant man himself reveals to be Rubeus Hagrid.
"Hagrid" all students who loved the man shouted in union none louder than the marauders minus Peter who just rolled his eyes at their antics
Hagrid: Er, right. Sorry 'bout that. [He puts the door back up]
Cue to the laughing
Hagrid steps clear, takes the door, and fits it back into its frame. Glances at Dudley then Frowns
HAGRID: Mind, .I haven't seen you since you was a baby, Annie, but yeh' re a bit more along than I woulda expected. 'Specially round the middle
DUDLEY: [terrified and stuttering] I-I-I'm not Annie..
Annie: I am Annie
Hagrid turns, watches Annie's face come into the light, her long white illuminated by the candles.
HAGRID: Well now, course yeh are. .
VERNON: I demand that you leave at once, sir! You are breaking and entering!
HAGRID: Ah, dry up, Dursley, yeh great prune... [As Petunia quietly gasps in fear, Hagrid grabs the gun and bends it upwards.]
HAGRID: Anyway, Annie. Got summat fer yeh. 'Fraid I mighta sat on it at some point,. but 'magine it' taste all right jus' the same... let's see now ... got it here somewhere [ Hagrid rummages in his coat, removes: a kettle, frying pan, sausages, one PINK UMBRELLA and, finally, a squashed paper box containing a CHOCOLATE CAKE with "Happee Birthdae, Annie" scrawled in green icing].
HAGRID: Baked it myself, words an' all.
While some laughed at his explanation Lily and James were truly grateful
"Thank you Hagrid really" Lilly was truly grateful for the Giant like man to which he only smiled while he furiously blushed
"Yeah really thanks Hagrid" James thanked him once more
Annie: Thank you.
HAGRID: Well, it's not every day your·young girl turns 'leven.
A lot smiled fondly at Hagrid
