"Who You Be?"
I stared at the ceiling of my moms room while sprawled out on her bed. She was in the process of cleaning up and I just wanna mess with her
"Ma"
"Ma...Ma...Ma...Ma" I repeated
"What Athena?" She said irritatedly
"Ma when you gonna let Don come back home?" I asked
She looked at me rolling her eyes "Girl leave me alone"
I sat up and stared at her for a little bit before saying "Ma I'm for real"
"Okay... and Im for real too. Don't ask me shit else about that boy" she said
"And why the hell you been so calm about this shir? You knew he had the shit in my house?" She asked glaring at me
"This ain't about me. This is about all of us living under one roof... safely"
I love my family so much I don't think I could ever not live with my mom and siblings. It calms my spirit when I see them come in every night.
She sighed and stopped cleaning. I noticed that she was trying not to cry.
"I don't want my son to be out there. But I don't want that shit around my babies. Y'all all I have left and I just won't be able to take it if..." She trailed off
"I understand ma but at the same time Don just protecting himself. You see the stuff that go on out there. We know how it can be" I explained
"The only niggas that I know carry guns is drug dealers and gang members so which one is he?" She asked tilting her head
"I know nothing" I said piercing my lips together
My phone started buzzing nonstop so I picked it up and I couldn't even unlock it because they had my phone glitching
"What the fuck" I mumbled
"Athena" Ma warned
"My bad"
I finally was able to get into my phone and went to Instagram. Someone had tagged me in a video so I went to watch it.
"Ima beat his ass" I said mugging my phone
"Cuss again and I'm shove this broom stick up ya ass" she threatened

I ran out her room quickly and walked in my room. I immediately FaceTimed Kiaan and he answer
