"t-to where???" xiao questioned, his voice coming out as a stutter, a result of shock and confusion. you giggled in response. "outside??? I'M DRIVING!" with a tired groan, xiao let you drag him to your car. the jingle of your keys irritated xiao in a way but he still followed you with no questions. unfortunately, he was left with his own thoughts again. poor xiao :(((

'archons, please protect me..' xiao muttered under his breath as you fastened your seat belt. there was a rising feeling in xiao's stomach, given his situation with his feelings, he doesn't know what it is. "ya ready, xiao?" you suddenly inquired, breaking him out his trance. giving him a glance to check if he was still there.

"unfortunately.." you could only laugh at his reply, "HEY! i'm not gonna kill us! ..maybe.. ANYWAYS! we're gonna have fun! get your mind out the gutter, let's go wild!" xiao frowned when you gave him a small pat, what did you think of him, a kid who needs assurance? "tch– fine! stop treating me like a damn child first."

"i'm not??? can we go to [favourite fast food chain] first though? i'm STARVIN and i'm bout to go feral." you looked at him, even if you were behind the wheel, you couldn't help but ask if he wants to go. "i mean, you literally dragged me here. and it's your car." xiao deadpanned at you, staring at you for a few seconds before looking back down at his phone.

"you're fiesty today. who got on your nerves today, hm?" you couldn't help but laugh, though he was usually like this, you could tell something annoyed him somehow. without any more small talk, you started to drive off to your safe haven. (we love food in this household mwah 💞)

"m/n," xiao suddenly spoke up, 15 minutes after you got food. of course, you got him some too. money wasn't really an issue for you. "yeah? what's up?" you replied, giving him a small glance. you were still driving, so you had to keep your eyes on the road. but really, how could you when you have one hell of an eye candy right next to you?

"where exactly are we going?" xiao stared at the road ahead, he wasn't really familiar with this part of teyvat. "ah, that. we're going to my beach house." you sighed, this brought back a lot of memories. for someone who loves roadtrips, you were really thankful to get your own car and go on trips on your own. that didn't stop you from missing roadtrips with your family and friends, though. "you own a beach house?"

you could only let out a small laugh at his reply, was it that unbelievable to own one? "technically, it is mine, yes. my parents gave it to me since they really didn't have the time to go there now. so every now and then, i crash there whenever i need to.. you know, escape from everything. it's like my own safe space."

xiao could only listen, letting out a deep breath as a reply. he didn't know what to say, should he ask why he wants to bring him there? or ask him the reason why he's bringing a guy like him to such an important place? lost in his own thoughts, xiao admired the view in front of them. you noticed his silence and smiled, stealing another look at him. 'how is he so beautiful without trying..?' you thought, a million questions running through your head. you didn't know it yet, but xiao would be the end of you. (he will end up w u i mean *wink wonk*)
