Y/n POV
I'm woken up by my mom coming into my room and lightly shaking me
"Hm?" I hummed
"Do you want to come to work with me?" she asked
"Sure" I replied
"Okay, start getting ready now" she said
I nodded as I rubbed the tired out of my eyes and began to sit up. I gathered my clothes before making it to my bathroom to take a shower. I did my usual shower routine, got dressed, and began to do my makeup.
As I was getting ready for the day to go to work with my mom, I hear the doorbell ring. Assuming my mom would get it, I thought nothing of it
"Y/n, Liz is here" my mom called
I stopped getting ready as I walked down the stairs
"Don't you know how to call before coming over to peoples house?" I asked
She thought for a moment before speaking
"No" she replied with a cocky smirk
"What could you possibly want?" I asked
"First off, don't get attitude with me, I haven't seen you in like two days, secondly, have you heard the news?" she asked
"What news?" I asked back
Liz must not have taken my outfit in when she got here because before she even started telling me the news, she looked me up and down
"Where are you going?" She asked
Before I could even speak, she interrupted
"Are you going on a date?" she asked
"No. I'm going to work with my mom" I said
"Why?" She asked
"Because I try yo go at least twice a month to see if maybe I'll be interested in real estate" I explained
"Oohh, that makes sense" she replied
"So what's the news?" I asked
"Oh right" She began
I nodded for her to continue
"Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn broke up" she finally let out
I looked at her with no expression
"What?" she asked
"Why are you telling me this?" I asked
"They broke up just days after everything that happened between you two" She pointed out
I couldn't help but to laugh
"Why are you laughing?" she asked
"Because nothing happened between us" I said
"Please, you're just trying to pretend like nothing happened" Liz stated
I shook my head at her
"Is everything alright?" My mom came into the room to asked
I nodded
"Taylor Swift and her boyfriend of six years broke up" Liz blurted
My mom looked at me like my friend had lost her mind
"Well.. actually..?" My mom questioned
"Not you too" I said
